Beowulf (/ˈbeɪəwʊlf/; Old English: Bēowulf [ˈbeːowuɫf]) is an Old English epic poem in the tradition of Germanic heroic legend consisting of 3,182 alliterative lines. It is one of the most important and most often translated works of Old English literature.
Written, but it's very possible the story was orally transmitted before being recorded by someone who apparently had enough of a thing for the Norse and Paganism to leave those overt influences in it. It may even be a Saxon rework of an older Pagan story.
And honestly I'd rather put Chaucer in the coursework. He was funny, raunchy and had some interesting quotes about money.

Cow smashes into doctors’ office after jumping off trailer in Virginia | WRIC ABC 8News

ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – A very confused cow had to be rescued from a physicians’ office in Orange, Virginia, after leaping from a trailer and busting into the building.

The cow was being transported to Knight Cattle Company, in Gordonsville, when it jumped off the trailer. The animal then made its way to Orange Family Physicians, about an eighth of a mile down the road.

Locals self-proclaimed “cow catchers” Timmy Lamb and Sam Crawford said they received a call about the bold bovine outside the office only minutes after returning home from work. They immediately headed over on horseback to help retrieve the big animal.

When Lamb and Crawford arrived, the cow became frightened and ran around the building, smashing through the glass doors of the office.

“When it shattered the glass, it just kept on running through the building,” Lamb said.

The men were ultimately able rein in the cow without harm, with Lamb roping its neck and bringing it outside where he tied it to a light post.

This post covid fatigue and body aches have got to go. It's like an especially drawn out fibro flair up that's on the bad side.

Hernando County man arrested after setting patrol vehicle on fire, officials say (fox13news.com)

SPRING HILL, Fla. - When a Hernando County man left a bar, he walked past a sheriff's office patrol vehicle and "decided he'd like to set it on fire," according to deputies.

Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff's office received reports of the marked SUV on fire at an apartment parking lot near Northcliffe Boulevard and Portillo Road in Spring Hill. When fire crews arrived, they were able to extinguish the fire.

"It could have been catastrophic," said sheriff's office spokesperson Denise Moloney. "Thankfully no one was burned."

While inspecting the vehicle, officials noticed severe damage in and around the rear passenger area of the vehicle, near the gas tank. Trash and other items were located under the tank, near the back passenger wheel. Detectives said they believed they were placed there on purpose to set the vehicle on fire.

A nearby vehicle was parked close to the Hernando County patrol vehicle and had damage from the fire, deputies said.

During the investigation, a man, identified as 48-year-old Anthony Thomas Tarduno, approached detectives and told them he was responsible for the vehicle fire.

Moloney said Tarduno told deputies, "Yeah, I'm the one who did that. I set that car on fire."

According to detectives, Tarduno told them he was drinking at a bar on Northcliffe Blvd. He left before 4:30 p.m.

"While walking, Tarduno noticed the patrol vehicle and decided he'd like to set it on fire," according to a news release from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. "He went to a nearby dumpster and grabbed a bag of garbage. Tarduno then placed the bag under the patrol vehicle and used a lighter to set it ablaze. "

After that, Tarduno went back to the bar, investigators said. However, several minutes later they said he "felt bad" and returned to confess.

During the interview, Tarduno told detectives he was "intoxicated" and when he gets "drunk" he does "stupid things," they said.

Well, at least he confessed. Sheesh.
