I parked my car outside today, so the rain, I hope, will wash some of the salt and grime off it. And I hope it doesn't snow this afternoon before I head home, so I don't get MORE salt and grime on it...

Is that 170 credits with your BS, or your BS PLUS 170 credits!!! If the latter, good lord, man, you should be able to complete another degree or two out of that!

No, it is a BS plus about 50 credits, about 170 total.... could be a little more, but without all my transcripts in front of me.... I'll go with 170 total....

For my BS, I graduated with over 140 credits for a 124-credit degree. But there were also the roughly 40 credits that didn't transfer from the community college to the big state university--back when big state universities could pick and choose what they wanted to allow.

Military schooling and training is supposed to count towards credits for college as well, but that isn't always the case either. Rather depends upon what the particular college wants to recognize. I mean, why acknowledge something already earned towards a degree when they can make you spend more money in their direction?

I have been to a few colleges and there is at least one I have credits at that I am not including in that list of 170 now that I think about it. but it is only about 9 credits or so from there.... it was my first try at college

Wu Wei interviewing a job applicant......
1) Do you ever slather yourself in BBQ sauce?
2) Do you have a limp or other impediment to running?
3) Where do you like hiking?
4) Do you oppose self defense for philosophical reasons?

An interviewer asks "what do you do when the boss comes to you yelling that everything is messed up and you need to fix it now or else"? My question is "how do you cover up what you did to said interviewer"?

Took my kids to a STEM festival at the local college yesterday. They had a couple welding set ups where they had a computer simulation that scored you on numerous things. The first we came to was ran by a couple of the welding students and I decided I wanted to try (no, I've never welded before) and scored an 84. The two students said that was higher than their scores. At the next one we came to (ran by the instructor) I wanted to see if I could beat my previous score and got an 87. The instructor said the highest he'd seen that day had been in the 70's and started to give me info on his class and wanted to know if I'd be interested in it. :p Perhaps I should.
Go for it! The work can get dirty, dingy, and hot, but it generally pays well, and unlike pushing a button in a factory to "create," you're using your own skills to put metal together in order to create something.

I bought some rum. I decided to share with my niece. But that really drained my rum. I should still have plenty enough to make the world spin, but I'll be sober in a few hours. And the bottle is empty!
