:p I swear, the more I talk to you the more remind me of my dad. We disagree politically but in other regards, especially joking, we get along. At least I think we do. Have no idea what's in your kilt wearing mind.
We get along politically too.
Unlike some here, we don't let political & economic differences become anger.
(I see many who should never own firearms or sharp groundskeepring tools.)

One more mission to go and I'm leading everyone on my friend's list for Star Wars Battlefront.
How I need a life.

@Draka what you're going through is ugly. I have my fingers crossed for you.
News is coming in texts from his co-workers who went to earlier mtg...have no idea what is completely up as some contradict, but it's not looking good. Cutting about 75-80% of employees. Considering where he sits seniority wise it's very iffy right now if he'll make the cut, but doubting it. We're probably looking at no job now. His phone is blowing up right now with a group chat of many guys who just lost their job.

And he's out the door. One hour til mtg, one hour for mtg, at least half-hour drive home...I should know our income status by 3pm. Almost 3 hours to knowing what's going on. Lovely. Now I just continue to do laundry and wait. :(

I wonder if waiting is harder than knowing. At least if you know, you can start thinking about the future. Waiting opens one up to worrying which is wheel spinning.

It's waiting for me. The sooner I know something, no matter how sucky the situation may be, the sooner I can start trying to figure things out and make plans. When things hang in limbo, that's worse. Even if he somehow does retain his job we've heard that, if they are staying open, that shifts and work days will completely change as well. So that would turn our homelife and schedules on ear as well. So either way, job or no job, things are about to change for us at some level.

I'm thinking of shining @Wirey 's shoes for money.
But I'm not doing his laundry.
You interested?

Laundry I can do. And considering I've got kids I've come across just about every stain and substance you can find on clothing. Granted, there would probably be another substance I don't have to deal with with my kids, but I've got rubber gloves. :p

I hope things turn out well you. I remember the stress of my dad's job at Chrysler hanging in the balance and it's future unknown, and it was definitely rough.

When I was looking at employment assistance for those with Asperger's (I saw statistics that puts Aspie unemployment rate betwen 70%-80%), I read over a list of jobs that are good and bad for Aspies. Most of the good jobs I can do, and most of them I'm proficient enough to do them for a living. However, unfortunately, I can't just make someone give me a job.

Meaningless Announcement: I'm not feeling too good today. Although, I did go pay the rent.:D
I'm not feeling good today either. I didn't feel good yesterday, or the day before that, or the day before that.
My depression has just been terrible lately. Stress has been through the roof.
My current dilemma is trying to figure out how to make some money so I can cover this month's bills.

Should'a gotten an engineering degree.
You'd fit right in.

I would have, probably should have, but I was far more interested in learning about people and that "socializing" thing they do.
Or I should have majored in art and got a piercing and tattoo apprenticeship, because I tend to really fit in those places.

I'll shine his shoes, do his laundry, fix his plumbing, rewire his house, build that addon to his house, and fix his car.
Yet another codger loses out to an ambitious young whippersnapper!
But be careful what else @Wirey might want from you.
Before you know it, you'll be fermenting poutine for him!

Been there for 10 years. And they did keep on a handful of guys. The handful stopped right at the guy just above him in seniority. Lovely huh?
