It sucks to not be able to see up close or far away without glasses or contacts. It used to be that I just couldn't see far away. What a rip off.

As one gets older, I think eagle eye, x-ray vision should be the norm.

If I take off my glasses I can't read my computer monitor, but a book or tablet, I actually take my glasses off on purpose for. But, my eyes have always been like that. My eyesight doesn't really change. At least it hasn't over the past 15 years really. Might change as I get older though. I got a couple pairs of glasses in 2001 and had them until just a few years ago. I want to say about 2011 or 2012 is when I got these glasses I'm wearing now. When I had my eye exam to get the new glasses (more because I had the same styles of frames for years and wanted something new) the optometrist compared my "new" prescription to my old glasses and said my prescription hadn't really changed at all noticeably. Like, one little click on my right eye I think, or left, can't remember which. I still have the old glasses for back up purposes and one I use as sunglasses with clip-ons and there really isn't any discernible difference. And I still see fine with these about 4 or 5 years in. Eventually I'm sure my eyesight will decline, but it's hanging in there for now.

That's a long time to not have a change in vision up or down.

I don't have to wear correction lenses to drive. My near sighted vision has improved dramatically although I wear prescription sunglasses while driving just to make signs crisper. I still wear glasses or contacts for night driving. The optometrist said I'm legal to drive with no correction. Five years ago, I was blind as a bat and couldn't see the end of the bed. Now, though, I need glasses for reading a book and reading a lap top screen. He tells me this is normal. Ok, sure.

Gave my 7 year old a piece of chicken.
2 year old says "I also want a hand-bone!"

What's a hand-bone you ask?
Apparently its a bone of chicken that you eat with your hand. Referred to by less creative people, as a drumstick.

I'm near sighted, but I have no driving restriction as far as glasses or contacts. However, if I want to be able to read road signs without squinting and getting really close to them, I have to wear my glasses.

I'm quite near-sighted (definitely have a corrective lens requirement on my driving licence). Not as bad as those close to me though. I have the best eyesight of all the adults in my closest family. My mom, dad, brother, all have worse eyesight than me. Even the hubby does, but not by too much. His glasses are a bit strong for me but workable in a pinch and he could use mine, just not see things quite as well. Now my son is already in glasses for near-sightedness though they are quite weak, which is good, and my daughter, strangely, is a tad far-sighted and has reading glasses.

This might surprise everyone, but I find our court system to be worse than rolling dice.
At least with dice, you needn't spend a fortune on lawyers to get a random result.
