One of the threads here where I discussing my experiences of having socialized with rich people and poor people, and one of the things I mentioned was their conversations tend to be different in a few ways.
And today I got to thinking that during the brief time I was driving rail word workers around, given how their conversions went, I could definitely tell they are union workers. Talking about strikes and contracts, benefits and retirements, definitely things non-union workers don't spend much time talking about.

I'd just like to go to California. I don't know if I'd want to stay, but a small tremor or earthquake might be exciting, even if it would be over before I knew what was going on.

I wonder if I'll get to see any tornadoes this year? We used to have this around this time of year (and still do), but the past few years we've been seeing them in November.
My brother's room mate is from California, and apparently "Mr. Toughguy" really starts to panick as soon as there's a watch or warning and the wind starts to pick up.
