Ugh. We got mounds of rain the past couple days and the basement here got flooded. Got the sump pump finally working (the automatic switch didn't work as the plug was corroded) and drained enough water out to get through the basement to the major stuff. The water washed out the hot water heater and I can't get the dang sucker relit for the life of me, been trying all day. Haven't had hot water since yesterday and I'd kill for a shower about now, especially with spending so much time in that nasty basement. And my furnace stopped working sometime today or during the night as well. The pilot light went out on it too. It's hell to light but I got it lit, but for some reason the furnace still won't kick back on. ARGH. Cold in here, cold water, dank basement to deal with, can't freakin shower (unless I feel like freezin), just...ARGH.

At least it's not just here then. I've been hating this nice, warm weather, and just warm enough to sleep with no pants during the beginning of the night, to waking up in the middle of the night to put some fleece pj pants on and find another blanket.
And then what water remained in my yard from the all the rain over the past few days (the kind of rain we was really needing last year) was frozen over yesterday. And I thought it was just because this is Indiana.
