The Rescue From Discord

After demise of dear Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him and his Ahlul Bayt), some differences occured between Muslims.
But there is a question here. Did Prophet past away and did not chose a sorce for rescue of his nation from the differences?
The answer is obviously 'No'. A Prophet who teached Muslims the smallest things, like
teeth brushing and so on, would not leave talking about this the most important issue.

Indeed, Holy Quran says that we should hold fast, all together, to Allah’s cord, and do not be divided into sects.(3:103)
It also says that this cord of Allah is both Quran and Rasulullah(sawaws).(3:101)

So, verses of Quran and Prophet Muhammad(sawaws) or really his Sahih sayings are what we shoule hold fast to them.

Thanks God, Prophet Muhammad has said that what is the source of dissolving of the discords after himself. It is indeed his 12 Successors who are from his Ahlul Bayt and Progeny.

1.Prophet Muhammad(s) has said,
'The Islamic religion will continue until the Hour has been established, or you have been ruled over by 12 Successors, all of them being from the Quraish.'
-Sahih Muslim, The Book on Government, Chapter: The people follow the Quraish and the Caliphate belongs to the Quraish, Hadith 11.
--------------------
2.Prophet(s) said,

'Indeed, I leaved for you two Complete Successors, the Book of Allah and my Progeny, and they never split from each other until they return to me at the Hawdh( in the Hearafter ).
Some sources,
1.Musnad of Ibn 'Abi Shayba, v2, P108.
2.Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabir by At-Tabarani, V5, P153.

Albani, a Muti'assib Wahhabi scholar, and Ali ibn Abi Bakr Al-Haythami has said that the tradition is Sahih.
1.Sahih Jami' As-Saqir by Albani, V1, P482[
.
2.Majma'uzzawa'id wa Mamba'ul Fawa'id by Al-Haythami, V1, P170(رواه الطبراني في الكبير ورجاله ثقات).
-------------------
3.Prophet(s) said,
The stars are the means of surviving from drowning, and my Ahlul Bayt are the rescue for my nation from discord. So that, if a tribe of Arab opposes my Ahlul Bayt, they( the people of the tribe) will become the sect of Satan.
(Haakim says that the Hadith is Sahih)
1.Al-Mustadrak Alas-Sahihayn by Haakim, V3,P162.
2.Al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah by Ibn Hajar Al-Haytami, V2, P685.
------------------
4.Anas ibn Malik has narrated,
'Holy Prophet(s) said to Ali,
"You will illustrate for my nation what they will discord after me.' "
(Haakim says that the Hadith is Sahih)
1.Al-Mustadrak Alas-Sahihayn by Haakim, V3, P132.
2.Hilliyatul Awliya wa Tabaqatul Asfiya by Abu Naiim Al-Asbahani, V1, P64.

So, after Prophet(sawaws) we have two Religious Sources, 1. Holy Quran, 2.the Ahlul Bayt, Progeny of Prophet Muhammad( peace be upon all of them ), and the first one of the Ahlul Bayt after Prophet Muhammad(sawaws) is Imam Ali(as).

Waffaqanallah wa 'Iyyakum.

You should know that according to the opinion of Darussalam, the following tradition is weak and Dha'if.

Anas bin Malik said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: ‘My nation will not unite on misguidance, so if you see them differing, follow the great majority.’”

You can see the grade of the tradition here.

According to my researches, the problem of the chain of the narrators is (Abu Khalafinil A'ma).

But read the Sahih tradition from Anas ibn Malik in the book of Al-Haakim in the first post( Hadith 4 ).

Here is another fake tradition,

"اصحابي كالنجوم بايهم اقتديتم اهتديتم"
I.e., "My companions are like the stars, if you follow each of them, you will be guided"

This Hadith is fake, because of two reasons,

1.Saying of Sunni emnent and famous scholars.

2.Comparison with other authentic Hadiths.

So, follow the article.

1.Saying of Some of the Sunni Emnent and Famous Scholars

Arab Muslims can see this page.

A. Al-Bani( Who is called by Sunni scholars, the Bukhri of time )

Al-Bani a contemporary Wahhabi scholar says:

أصحابي كالنجوم فبأيهم اقتديتم اهتديتم لا يصح : واه جدا وموضوع .

“The Hadith «اصحابي کالنجوم...» is a meaningless and fake Hadith."

(Source, Sefat Salat Al- Nabi Sal Allah Alayhe va Sallam, vol 1, p 49, author: Mohammad Naser Al- din Al- Albani, published by: Maktabat Al- Ma’ aref lel Nashr val Touzi, Riyadh)

He also has said in another one of his books, i.e. Selselatu Dh-Dha'ifah, that this Hadith is fake. See here in which is his saying in Silsilatu Dh-Dha'ifah on a sunni authentic website.

2.Muhmmad Jamil Zeino

Muhmmad Jamil Zeino a great Wahbbi scholar and the professor of the School of Olum Hadith of Mecca says:

( أصحابي كالنجوم بأيهم اقتديتم اهتديتم ) قال عنه المحدثون: إنه موضوع .

"Based on what the narrators have said the Hadith «اصحابي کالنجوم...» is fake."
(Source, Moalefat Al- Sheikh Mohammad Ibn Jamil Zeinou, vol 5, p 36)

3.Ibn Abdol Bar

Ibn Abdol Bar in the book Jame Albayan says:

ان أصحابي كالنجوم فبأيهم اقتديتم اهتديتم وهذا مذهب ضعيف عند جماعة من أهل العلم وقد رفضه أكثر الفقهاء وأهل النظر ونحن نبين الحجة عليه .

The Hadith «اصحابي کالنجوم...» is considered a weak belief held by a group of Sunni expert which has been rejected by many jurisprudents and scientists and I will pose the reason of its rejection."
(Source, Jame Bayan Al- Elm va Fazlah, Ibn Abdol Bar, vol 2, p 78)

Other Sunni scholars, e.g., (1)Al-Showkani, in Ershad Al- Fohoul Ela Tahqiq Al- Haq Men Elm Al- Osoul, vol 2, p 188, (2)Ibn Molqan died in 804 AH in his book, Al- Badr Al- Monir fi Takhrij Al-AHadith val Athar Al- Vaqeah fil Sharh Al-Kabir, vol 9, p 584, (3)Ibn Hozam Al-Andalpsi in his bokk, Al- Ahkam, vol 5, p 642, 643, and so on, have siad that this Hadith is fake.

And in a combination of the verdicts of the scholars of Al-Azhar, they have rejected the Hadith mentioned above that some of them are mentioned below.

" the Hadith «اصحابي کالنجوم...is considered a weak tradition and it is said it was a fake tradition and Daremi and others have quoted this tradition and there are some questionable people in the chain of the narration of this tradition."

(Fataawa Al- Azhar, vol 8, p 209, Al-Masdar : Moqe Vezarart Al- Aouqaf Al-Mesriyah http://www.islamic،council.com)

Answer: "it is a weak Hadith about which it is said it is a fake Hadith."

(Fatavi Al- Azhar, vol 8, p 209, Al-Masdar : Moqe Vezarart Al- Aouqaf Al- Mesriyah http://www.islamic،council.com)

Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim ibnAbdol Latif Aal Sheykh, the grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Mecca , and the head of the judges of Shoun Islami, says:

أصحابي كالنجوم المعروف عند أَهل الحديث حقاً أَنه لا يثبت سنده ولا يصلح للاحتجاج فلا تقوم به حجة.

"The Hadith «اصحابي کالنجوم... what is approved by the experts of the science of Hadith is that this Hadith cannot be proven and cannot be reasoned, and it is not considered as proof."

(Fatavi va Rasael Al- Sheikh Mohammad Ibn Ibrahim Al Al- Sheikh, vol 2, p 7)

2. Comparison Whith Other Authentic Hadiths

1.Sahih Al-Bukhari, Arabic, English

Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab:

The companions of the Prophet(S) said that Prophet(S) said, "Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount[ in Hearafter ] and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you left: they turned apostate as renegades."

2.Sahih Muslim, Arabic, English

Ibn Abbas reported:

When Allah's Messenger(S) was about to leave this world, there were persons [around him] in his house, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab being one of them. Allah's Apostle(S) said: 'Come, I may write for you a document; you would not go astray after that.' Thereupon Umar said: 'Verily Allah's Messenger(S) is deeply afflicted with pain[ i.e., he do not know what he is saying, so that, do not obey him]. You have the Qur'an with you. The Book of Allah is sufficient for us[ i.e., we do not need to the Apostle].' Those who were present in the house differed. Some of them said: 'Bring him [the writing material] so that Allah's Messenger(S) may write a document for you and you would never go astray after him.' And some among them said what 'Umar had [already] said. When they indulged in nonsense and began to dispute in the presence of Allah's Messenger(S), he said: 'Get up [and go away]'
'Ubaidullah said:" Ibn Abbas used to say: 'There was a heavy loss, indeed a heavy loss, that, due to their dispute and noise. Allah's Messenger (S) could not write [or dictate] the document for them.' "

Can we follow those who said that bad saying about the Noble Messenger of Allah( peace be upon him and his pure progeny )? According to the narration of Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Sa'id ibn Jubair reported from Ibn Abbas that he said:
'Thursday, and what about Thursday?' Then tears began to flow until I saw them on his cheeks as it they were the strings of pearls. He [ ibn Abbas ] then said that Allah's Messenger (S) said: 'Bring me a shoulder blade and ink-pot [or tablet and inkpot], so that I write for you a document [by following which] you would never go astray.' They said: 'Allah's Messenger is saying delirium.'
( Sahih Muslim, Sahih Al-Bukhari)

1.Sahih Al-Bukhari,
فَقَالُوا هَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ( So, they said, The messenger of Allah is saying delirium )

2.Sahih Muslim,
فَقَالُوا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَهْجُرُ( so they said that certainly the messenger of Allah is saying delirium)

It should be siad that this does not mean that we do not love Sahaba or they are not reliable. We love Sahaba so much. Sahaba like, Ammar ibn Yasir, Aboozar al-Qefari, Salman al-Farsi, Miqdad, etc.
But we believe that it is not correct that all the Sahaba are reliable. Instead, we believe that those between Sahaba who did well in companionship are reliable and we love only them.
