We have seen many Protestant denominations claiming that the Catholic CHurch is the Anti-CHrist Church. But can they really prove it in Scripture?

Frankly, I was not even aware of that......so I voted "It is God's Church".

I don't like any of your poll choices. To me it's just another religion.
I agree with Maize
A very important religion with many truths but not the only Christian religion.

No qualms here. But obviously I would add to it.

I can't say I have personally heard such a claim, but I can say that I do not agree with it. I would not say that the RCC is abominable, but I do not agree with everything that they do. Catholics and I share many of the same doctrinal and theological beliefs, so I can't say they are abominable.

Didn't you already start a debate on this once? If you want people to keep fighting over it you could always go and resurrect that thread.

I personally find the entire subject pointless. The people who believe in the Catholic church probably believe it is the church of God. The people who don't belong to the Catholic church probably don't care one way or the other because they believe that the church they belong to is the church of God.

I agree Jonny. Although things are still unresolved and perhaps further clarity should be discussed on both our sides. Perhaps later we can resurrect it. Not up to it at the moment. :)

None of the above! I can't believe that a Catholic started this thread and gave only those choices!

I don't personally believe that Catholicism is "God's Church," but I'd hardly call it either "the Abominable Church" or "just another strange sect" either. Maybe it's just me, but if these same choices were presented as the only possibilities a person could vote on with regards to my church, I wouldn't be at all pleased. Why wasn't there a choice that said, "It's a major Christian denomination"?

Well, I can't answer this poll either. Being Orthodox, I would certainly not say that the Roman Catholic Church is either God's Church or abominable - it is one see of the One True Church that went its own way in the Great Schism. Having said that, I suppose I could have answered God's Church as for me the Catholic Church is the Orthodox Catholic Church and not the Roman Catholic Church, but to do so would have clearly been to ignore the intent of the opening post.

the Catholic church in my opinion is the nearest religion to GOD
I believe the Anglican church is too laid back and it gives the people too much freedom

The closest to the poll options I could get is by stating the catholic church deviated from the original church by adding contradictory laws to what Jesus and the apostles have outlined in their texts.

I cannot call any religions an abomination; that is for God and God alone to decide.

Although I disagree, you have indeed stated your opinion within the boundaries of the thread.

Religion is like a double edged sword, it cuts both ways, the Catholic church is no different, it can be a grate force of evil or a grate force of good.

Well, honestly, what is the point of this religious divisiveness?

To me, an Atheist, it is shameful.

Why is there no meaningful choice in between the extreme choices?

I can neither believe the Roman Catholic Church to be a total abomination nor can I believe that it is the "Church of God."
