Was it her intelligence that killed her? As she no longer had her HRH why would the press be interested in her just living her life with her new partner? Well there are always some in the paparazzi willing to go one step further than most others in order to get their 'scoop' (and she was still seen as a 'celebrity') but where most will have more decency and respect. I don't know the circumstances of her protection so couldn't comment about such. Individual responsibility still exists, and she apparently made a mistake by not wearing her seatbelt.

If you really do not know the details of her protection but for some strange reason thinking not wearing a seat belt would of have contributed to her death, Then should you be making comments without all the facts, Sometimes all the plants in news media cannot be seen in the woods for the trees, Whatever we believe ins immaterial. Diana told the world that they were planning to kill her off in a car crash, Could that have happened with her security?

According to the doctor attending, a seatbelt would have saved her life. She suffered from a torn artery that was not detected (slow leak) and which would not have happened had she worn a seatbelt. The security person in the car survived because he was wearing a seatbelt. Her suspicions are that relevant? She didn't come across as that rational, or accepting of the best advice anyway - her TV interview (which I did see) indicated this.
