You might want to take a refresher course on ancient history. JC was born during the rule of Augustis, Tiberius ruled during his ministry. Then Gaius, Claudius, Nero, Galba, Otho and Vitellius, Vespasian, Titus, and Domitian, who ruled when John was exiled.

Ancient Babylon is where most of apostate Christendom's teachings come from. The trinity, immortal soul, hell, even Easter celebrations. They also brought about the downfall of God's earthly representation of Kings. So, Nebuchadnezzar was called Lucifer, or morning / day star, in that in that destruction ushered in a period of time where the kings of Zion were dethroned, replaced by the gentile kingdoms. Zedekiah being the last. So Babylon the Great of our time is a sort of new Babylon. Though not a kingdom she has control over kingdoms.
