It will depend on what the guiding principles of Shaktas are. Are Shaktas beliefs and actions based on gunas (mental characteristics) that is piously-good, that is sattvic (Brahma-generated); routinal, that is rajasic (Vishnu-generated); or destructive and sensual/ignorance based, that is tamasic (Shiva-generated), or perhaps some blend of these?What about Shaktas?
Shaktas aren't part of the Trimurthi, so they don't count. (sarcasm)What about Shaktas?

My priest told me that Kali does the work of transformation in Tamas, and in any regard all Three gunas need to be transcended regardless. Isn't that the point of Bhakti is to overcome all karma?

Nice story. 'Sattva' too is bound to 'samsara'.
Not part of the 'trimurti' because she is the overseer (trying to please the Shaktas).
