please dont let my username alarm you, i just choose something nice and contorversial. Im only using this account to post this message. please take the time to read about and think about what im saying. and i would like to point out that im an athiest.


1)the notion of god was created by man. god was thought up to give people something to believe in so they feel like they have a purpose. Religion makes people feel better about themselves and gives them a way to live so they dont have to think for themselves. there is nothing wrong with feeling good about yourself, but there is something wrong with being plain illogical. if god made us concious beings and gave us the ability to choose from right and wrong, then he wouldnt want us to mindlessly praise him several times a day. he would want us to use what he gave us to build things and accomplish things. its like building a supercomputer and using it as a doorstop. Even if a supposed god gave us a bible to live by, that was thousands of years ago. By now its been revised so many times by insane religous nutjobs who have no clue what they're talking about, its cluttered with ridiculous crap.



2) Religion is the source of violence and war. Without religion, people wouldnt have differences and wouldn't hate each other. im not saying diversity is bad, mindless conformity is really evil, im just saying that without religous differences, there would have been no holocaust or any other attempted genocide. crazy christians wouldnt hate gay people because supposedly the bible, (which was written by man) says sodomy is evil. It says somewhere in the koran i belive that anyone who dies in the process of killing infidels will be given 72 virgins in heaven. If that wasnt there then terrorists wouldnt be blowing themselves up on busses and killing children in israel. In the old testament "god" commanded the jews to kill every single amalek man woman child and even animals that belonged to them. how can anyone ever justify a genocide? even if they created the universe! thats just cruel to create a living thing and then destroy it! and god actually punished the lews for messing up and allowing the king who was executed publicly the next day to impregnate a woman and conitnue the race. *** is up with that?!?!


3)without religion we would be a much better and more advanced society. People who accept religion are only doing it because it doesnt force them to think. People need to think! they just go through the actions everyday mindlessly! think of all the wasted time spent praying when you could have been creating things! Thinking for yourself is the first step on the road to enlightenment. if people dont think about what they are doing and why, then there lives are absolutly meaningless.

I once read a book about genes and memes. This is to say that people did create God, just as many small life-forms create us...... does a simple bacteria have a purpose? To say "no" is to say all small life is not-valid in the bigger picture, yet without it...... even we are not........ So what is the point of this?

Funny...... Isaac Newton went through the actions everyday mindlessly and he was one of the best thinkers of all time (if you will). He denied "his" religion and kept it secret, yet went through the motions for all the others..... if he hadn't, he'd have been brushed off as long as Copernicus, etc... Is not religion the process of people THINKING about the MEANING of LIVES?
Did Hitler think about what he was doing???? YES, perhaps a great deal more than what you have....... I guess that was a religious war though (????). Thinking for yourself can also lead to a path that destroys others, thinking for yourself in the sence of thinking for "all" leads to a life of meaning........ So what was the point of this???

its human nature to be violent obviously but without religion so much unnecesary hatred wouldn' t exist. Christians believe its there mission to convert everyone to christianity so they can save everyone from eternal suffering in hell, no? well what if the people dont believe they will burn in hell and just want to get on with their lives? then conflict arises. You do realise that in ethiopia, christian missionaries are set up that give food only to people who accept jesus. Im not saying there forcing these starving people to believe, they do have a choice. but the missionaries arent allowing them to make that choice themselves, they're tempting them. isnt temptation a sin?
