The unfair bias against women in media

I'm sure others have noticed when it comes to television networks production of news, weather etc., this bias in the demand that 'physical' looks must be appealing to the viewer is unfair to women.

It does seem unfair. Sometimes, when I browse news sites and see local newscasters from various cities, it strikes me just how similar and uniform they all seem to be. Corporate news in a can.

It's been like that since the advent of the Film Camera. It's sad, but it's been common for at least 100 years of film history.

Actresses age out of certain roles, and sometimes out of acting altogether.

She replaced Lloyd Robertson when he retired in 2011. I can't remember Robertson ever not having grey hair.

But the women I refer to are not actresses but hired for expertise in a particular field. The networks are quick to claim diversity in other areas.
And in commercial advertising quick to appeal to whatever sexual orientation. But no acknowledgement
of a woman's natural aging. I see this as absolute discrimination. A woman's knowledge must be pleasing to the eye.
