The Walking Dead

There was more to it then that me thinks. The zombie looked pregnant and he kept on stabbing it in the stomach. He may have just been upset at her for even getting pregnant and putting herself in a situation where she lost her life. He may see the baby as the cause of his wife's death. I may be off, but the stabbing (rather then slashing) was akward. He's lost it so it's very possible.

I'm sure they would've used a pregnant female walker if that's what they wanted to imply. I think he knew that the walker's extended belly contained his wife's flesh.

Point of irritation: The blond chick that's traveling with the black chick. Well, she ain't listening and that ticks me off. Hopefully now she sees how sadistic the guy is......It's time to get out of there.

To be fair, Andrea doesn't know what we the viewers know, and Machone hasn't been very concise or communicative. Also, it's rather silly the way Machone brazenly provokes someone she believes is dangerous.

So far, Machone is a one dimensional "angry ninja bad*ss" character that tests my suspension of disbelief.

True dat. The most one dimensional character on the show.

I loved how Daryl stepped up. I think him taking on a leadership role is to create conflict/drama for when he finally meets up with his brother.

I didn't automatically think it was a male walker; some are hard to tell at first. I wasn't trying to imply he didn't know, I thought it was obvious to the viewer that she was in the belly. Why do you think he stabbed the zombie in the belly knowing his wife was in there?

Also, it would made sense for the walker to be male as it was a male that helped to ruin their marriage and it was a male that helped end it. Just one example.

It's street cred and an extra sense that can save your *** more then once. People tend to underestimate it because most people don't have it. Sometimes when things are too good to be true, you start to swirl questions in your head and know a weasel when you find one. It's crazy talk to most folks though because as you said, it doesn't necessarily add up.

I don't think it is "street cred". I think she is one of those people who thrive in environments where they get to play a self-sufficient survivor. I think she likes roaming around killing zombies and making them carry her bags. I think she would be distrustful of any community environment, it just so happens that in this one, she had reason to distrust.

I am doubtful that's what it is. Andrea spoke of them two (Machone) entering a community similar to the one they found. Nothing in Andrea's comment or Machone's reaction indicated she hated being in a community. Distrustful? Certainly....but it doesn't follow she likes being alone. She's just picky on whom she wants to be around her. Besides, she took in Andrea, didn't she? Machone even spoke of a place that is safe; that doesn't sound like someone that wants to live a life on the road forever.

Um, I wasn't questioning the fact that she was suspicious. I was questioning how blatant, brazen and confrontational she was about it. You're obviously going to make yourself a target by letting someone you believe to be dangerous know that you're suspicious of them and that you've been sticking your nose in their business. I would think knowing the value of discretion would come with "street cred" rather than drawing unwanted attention to yourself by creating a scene.

Also, the ninja **** is cheesy as hell.

That is a good point. :)

I suppose I was looking at it from the POV that many people that come from the ghetto's (like me), aren't discrete about such things (although I am now). They are loud and don't just wish to keep it quiet for a smoother escape, but are completely aware of their loudness, aggressiveness, etc. It's purpose is usually to arouse others to what's going on. That, and I think there is some unsaid rules that see's discretion as weakness. We come at you, head on.....we want you to see it.

I think when there's a sense of either unorganized combat or lawlessness in the atmosphere, a tendency occurs to establish territorial or Alpha-leader qualities to the extreme. I think Michonne and the Governor were/are both trying to show who's really the boss, so to speak.

I get what you're saying, Quiddity.
