The Western/Faustian World Has Made A Pact With The Devil/Satan!

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

2 Timothy 3:12

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

In the Western/Faustian World Parenting is Dominated by Faust making a Pact With The Devil/Satan. I live in the Heart of the Faustian World, in London England, where, Happy to say I'm on the receiving end of 24/7 Satanic Ritual Abuse by those that have made a Pact With The Satan/Devil.

Faust

Faust is the protagonist of a classic German legend based on the historical Johann Georg Faust (c. 1480–1540). The erudite Faust is highly successful yet dissatisfied with his life, which leads him to make a pact with the Devil at a crossroads, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures. The Faust legend has been the basis for many literary, artistic, cinematic, and musical works that have reinterpreted it through the ages. "Faust" and the adjective "Faustian" imply sacrificing spiritual values for power, knowledge, or material gain and / or making a risky bargain with seemingly good intentions that goes terribly wrong.

The Decline of the West

"...Spengler recognized at least eight high cultures: Babylonian, Egyptian, Chinese, Indian, Mesoamerican (Mayan/Aztec), Classical (Greek/Roman, "Apollonian"), the non-Babylonian Middle East ("Magian"), and Western or European ("Faustian"). Spengler combined a number of groups under the "Magian" label; "Semitic", Arabian, Persian, and the Abrahamic religions in general as originating from them (Judaism, Christianity, Islam). Similarly, he combined various Mediterranean cultures of antiquity including both Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome as "Apollonian", and modern Westerners as "Faustian". According to Spengler, the Western world was ending and the final season, the "winter" of Faustian Civilization, was being witnessed. In Spengler's depiction, Western Man was a proud but tragic figure because, while he strives and creates, he secretly knows the actual goal will never be reached...."

Any member on these Forums want to challenge the title of the thread? Have you Experienced Faust Having Made A Pact With The Satan/Devil? Have you Made A Pact With The Devil/Satan?

The dominion over the matter.
That's what men like Faust seek...

Faust Erster Teil (better than the Zweiter Teil) is a masterpiece of German literature.
Incredibly pleasant to read. I even learned by heart many verses, because they are so good.

The theological meaning is that men restlessly seek pleasure, but pleasure will never make them happy because it's ephemeral...as Schopenhauer will say few decades later.
But Goethe (a Protestant) makes us believe that sin is a necessary trait of human existence.
Because the seeking for pleasure is called Streben, and as long as the man seeks, he will sin.

No seeking pleasure, no sin. In fact monks don't seek pleasure and never sin.

Catholic perspective: through renounce and sacrifice one can only control one's own desire and reach happiness.

Faust will never be happy.

Romans 7:21

21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

1) Faust Desires Dominion over the Other Matter while Cherishing Being Matter. Men do this with Muscle and Women with Seductive Guile.

2) All Literature is written by Elohim/God using Men/Women as vessels to convey a Message.

3) Pleasure in the Flesh is Ephemerality/Transitory. Striving to Attain Pleasure in the Spirit is Eternal.

4) Christendom is an Integral Part of Faustian/Western Society having Made A Pact With The Devil/Satan. Members of Christendom are Flesh Pleasure Seekers having Recreational Sex, Drinking Alcohol and Eating anything they want, for example.

5) I Am Christian Monk Denying Pleasures of the Flesh to Attain Pleasures in the Spirit. Christian Monks/Christian Gnostics Destroy the Flesh/Sin Body for the Spiritual Body. Until the Flesh/Sin Body is Entirely Destroyed the Sin Nature remains Present.

6) The Popular Roman Catholicism practiced by 1.39 Billion members Cherishes and Maintains the Flesh/Body Pleasure. In the Elite Religious Orders, such as, Society of Jesus, Opus Dei and Knights Templar you might have some members that are numbered among the Elect Destroying the Flesh/Body for the Spirit.

7) Faust will never be Happy in the Spirit. Don't you believe that people are Happy and Content with Pleasures of the Flesh/Body? After all, that's all people talk about being Happy or striving to be Happy in the Flesh/Body.

So, your life is about pursuing pleasure?
Psalm 16:11

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Yes, most certainly, Life is about pursuing Pleasure. Pleasure is Evidence of Life.

The Life of Christian Gnostic Is Destruction of the Flesh for Life in the Spirit. The Evidence of this Transformation is Pleasure in Destroying the Sin/Flesh Body for the Spiritual Body. Elohim/God Wants His Servants to have Pleasure in Him according to the Spirit.

Faustian mythology has no more relevance in the real contemporary world other than bargains religious movements make with Faustian evil like Donald Trump, and the Faustian bargain with mythology in the reject of science.

As usual one mythology cannot be used to justify another mythology.

Better the Devil than a mythological Roman God, based on the simple life of a Messiah Joshua

All of this ancient mythology of Faustian "evil." neglects the fact that the fallible human has always been the fallible human since the first human picked up a stone and made a weapon over a million years ago.. It is delusions of nostalgia of how humans were ever different in the past than they are today.

One cannot find happiness burdened in the ancient mythology of the Roman religion beginning with the Fall and Original Sin.

I Am Ultra Extremist Religious Christian Gnostic and work in Applied Science. Religion is for the Spiritual Domain and Science is for the Natural Domain. You cannot use Science to explain Truly Religious Phenomena. Some ignorant people get themselves killed because of Not understanding this. Have you seen the movie The Quiet Ones?

We can be thankfuf science cannot and will not ry to explain "Truly religious phenomena." I doubt seriously that the many conflicting religious beliefs can explain it either.

Bizarre superstitious movies such as this explain nothing.

Too demanding, never satisfied, or always searching and efforting to gain something better or greater to increase quality or greater sense of happiness? Is anyone going to heaven? Is the yacht worth your 6am to 8pm hours daily? Yeah, the one you take out twice a year with your hush hush you don't think your wife knows side dish. Who lies to whom or are we just deceiving ourselves?

What's gratitude worth anyway? It could always be worse, but it could always be better. They told me to count my blessings, then I made sure I counted them. Guess what? Most of them went away anyway. Finding peace in the midst of all the turbulence might be worth efforting but who's wanting to go through the paces? Discipline and being trained by it, I guess helps build resolve. I dunno. I do know I don't enjoy the hardship and sometimes pleasure has too sweet a savor to pursue much anymore.

That's life ... or is it?

Have you seen the movie The Quiet Ones? Are you another member on these that cannot learn from movies? Elohim/God teaches me lessons on all media platforms.

The Oxford Professor in the movie is exactly like you, Totally Convinced that there is nothing beyond Nature. This Total Conviction is what got him Killed.
