The Whole human race will one day be One

I believe peace will come one way or another. We may have no choice as it may mean our very survival one day.

Yes indeed... peace will come one way or another when humans go extinct (and they will, eventually). But technically that isn't world peace unless one fancies being anthropocentric - the rest of the biosphere will still be getting on with competition and cooperation as usual. And stars will still be violently exploding, too. Gotta consider - given that many of the more complex elements of our universe were created through violent celestial explosions, is it really that wise to bad talk on destruction all the time? We literally would not be here talking about this if it wasn't for star violence. :D

do what you can what is right and forget about oneness of humanity until the son of man returns as he said he would in that manor. I could explain a huge amount more.
they divided up the lots.

My point was that after both great wars humanity took limited steps towards world unity (League of Nations & UN). The final next step (world unity) need not be after a third war but can be through an act of consultative will if people everywhere demand it.

I'm watching the entire TNG series also and am near the end of season 3.
Hehe. One could say that we are more at one that some might like to think. Don't get me too wrong. I'd love to see the world united for a common goal of common good, but we humans are like cats and don't herd very well. For this reason, I hope, but remain a pragmatic realist.

why are you concerned then that you have to make humanity all one?

Sorry I answered the wrong post. Why the preoccupation to make humanity one.

By making humanity all one I mean one loving family where wars cease and we all start caring and looking out for human beings instead of bombing and gassing them.

That's wonderful then you'll be ready. I'll continue watching TNG today. Loving it.

When the world leaders hold a world referendum on peace just vote yes.

"They (world's leaders) must make the Cause of Peace the object of general consultation, and seek by every means in their power to establish a Union of the nations of the world. They must conclude a binding treaty and establish a covenant, the provisions of which shall be sound, inviolable and definite. They must proclaim it to all the world and obtain for it the sanction of all the human race." Abdul-Bahá

Curious wording towards the end. Binding, inviolable and definite.
You have given the proposal, lean as it is, but does the writer say anything about sanctions against those who break the treaty?

It's a much larger quote which I'll put up for you . And It's pragmatic alright not just a nice idea. It's what we believe will eventually happen.

We are not involved directly except in promoting the concept of the unity of mankind.

It would highly unlikely be supported in the current climate of unfettered national sovereignty but should a third war or nuclear conflict occur it would be fully supported I imagine.

What you are about to read could very well happen anytime even now or in the next few years so you could be getting a glimpse of the immediate future.

Yes, I have only quoted part of it but it's a complete proposal and has been submitted to all governments and the United Nations.

It proposes a radical change in the way we deal with international affairs. It's the next stage in human evolution on this planet.

We are talking about what comes after the UN and I have almost a play by play description of what will likely transpire although it might not be identical.

“True civilization will unfurl its banner in the midmost heart of the world whenever a certain number of its distinguished and high-minded sovereigns—the shining exemplars of devotion and determination—shall, for the good and happiness of all mankind, arise, with firm resolve and clear vision, to establish the Cause of Universal Peace.

They must make the Cause of Peace the object of general consultation, and seek by every means in their power to establish a Union of the nations of the world. They must conclude a binding treaty and establish a covenant, the provisions of which shall be sound, inviolable and definite. They must proclaim it to all the world and obtain for it the sanction of all the human race. This supreme and noble undertaking—the real source of the peace and well-being of all the world—should be regarded as sacred by all that dwell on earth. All the forces of humanity must be mobilized to ensure the stability and permanence of this Most Great Covenant. In this all-embracing Pact the limits and frontiers of each and every nation should be clearly fixed, the principles underlying the relations of governments towards one another “agreements and obligations ascertained. In like manner, the size of the armaments of every government should be strictly limited, for if the preparations for war and the military forces of any nation should be allowed to increase, they will arouse the suspicion of others. The fundamental principle underlying this solemn Pact should be so fixed that if any government later violate any one of its provisions, all the governments on earth should arise to reduce it to utter submission, nay the human race as a whole should resolve, with every power at its disposal, to destroy that government. Should this greatest of all remedies be applied to the sick body of the world, it will assuredly recover from its ills and will remain eternally safe and secure.

Observe that if such a happy situation be forthcoming, no government would need continually to pile up the weapons of war, nor feel itself obliged to produce ever new military weapons with which to conquer the human race. A small force for the purposes of internal security, the correction of criminal and disorderly elements and the prevention of local disturbances, would be required—no more.

“In this way the entire population would, first of all, be relieved of the crushing burden of expenditure currently imposed for military purposes, and secondly, great numbers of people would cease to devote their time to the continual devising of new weapons of destruction—those testimonials of greed and bloodthirstiness, so inconsistent with the gift of life—and would instead bend their efforts to the production of whatever will foster human existence and peace and well-being, and would become the cause of universal development and prosperity.

“Then every nation on earth will reign in honor, and every people will be cradled in tranquillity and content.”

As a wise man once said.
“You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one.”

May his dream come true very soon. Thanks for posting that. I went and listened to it yesterday.

Maybe that song one day or part of it will become our world anthem what do you think?

I sure like to hope so. I think the worlds starting to realize the need for it despite the groups that like to hinder the progress humanity has made.
