The witches of Lancashire (by me)

Over looking Gallows Hill
A crowd descends
With judges sin and pitchfork hands
Listening to the sister's cry
Send the mediator between Hell and Earth
To the aftermath of King James
Cat eye, to spy
Mouths agape and yellow teeth gnawing
Voices of condemnation reverberate through the trees
A sister's wrist burns as they twist within rope
The bloody male of Church and Crown
Awaits for signal to blue and purple throat
A black shadow blinds executioner's eyes
Red from sockets, pouring
Spell unbinding burning ties
Silky black fur in witchy embrace
Wooden splinters in thigh, soaring
And eyes transfixed on moonlit witch's face
Trawden forest lake round open fire
The fugitives reunite with protector, witch and sister
A magic sourced from heart, soul and hyster
To send a cat, a broom and curses through the wind
And saved her lover from the funeral pyre
