I do agree that part of the proof, once you understand it, is that we cannot see God. Now I didn't always believe this way until I studied the Bible. For many years I wondered and thought maybe God exists, but where is He? Then I decided there is no God although conscience comes into play. And then I at last realized there is a God that we cannot see. But He's there. One would be good for starters.
How so? I’ve read it, as well as some criticisms. What separates it from other mythological tales and epics? It’s wise words are found in other religious texts, which I assume you don’t think are necessarily divinely inspired. How is the Bible definitively proof of divine authorship?
Hmm, idk about that. I’m sure the atheists on this site are good folk, just like I give the benefit of the doubt that you are.
Excuse me but are your opinions facts? Is it possible to be deceived? You're welcome, and no harm done. You're new to the forum, so I was trying to help you out.
but it sounds like true experience, not dreaming. so is a simulation by a higher power or an alien, it sounds real and confirms what people from all religions are saying. so why it's all made up? it can't beHow does someone's experience with almost dying, confirm that "there is life after death?"
Please explain.
During heart surgery, my grandfather's heart stopped beating for a few seconds and he had to be revived. When I asked him what he "saw" while he was out, he said, "Nothing, It was just like sleeping." How do you explain that? Where did his "near-death experience" go?
As I have said before.....I’ve been reading through a couple of threads, and I see that it is said that there is no evidence for a god, it’s an unfalsifiable idea. We all agree on this? If you don’t, care to explain the evidence there is for god?
I’m in agreement. I used to believe my personal experiences to be subjective evidence for god, but I know now that’s not the case. I am not a theist anymore because I recognize I was a Christian thanks almost completely to my environment. That’s why I believed. I was brought up in it. Wasn’t because of any proof or anything,
So, theists, why do you believe? Is it mainly because of your environment and geographical location? There is no proof for god (right?), so what logically keeps you believing? Or is logic not supposed to be a factor when it comes to faith? Is it too jarring, the idea of leaving the comfort that religion and belief in a god brings?
I am curious about personal evaluations on why you believe. It can’t be because of logic, as there is no proof of god, right?
This list depends on the god.As I have said before....
Here is a list with all the scientific evidence for a god not existing....
Or the lists are in invisible ink and only the blessed can read them lolThis list depends on the god.
No, this shows that you are unaware of the many versions of "god" out there. Here is an easy one. Most Flat Earthers are Christians that read the Bible even more literally than creationists do. They have a Flat Earth God. Are you trying to say that science cannot demonstrate that the Earth is a sphere?Or the lists are in invisible ink and only the blessed can read them lol
Lol.. Whether the earth is a sphere, square, flat, octagon or a triangle. No, this shows that you are unaware of the many versions of "god" out there. Here is an easy one. Gods with attributs that are logically contradictory are proven not to exist.Lol.. Whether the earth is a sphere, square, flat, octagon or a triangle.
None of that proves or disproves a god.
By your logic since there is a sun then a sun god exists lol
If the earth was flat, would that mean and be evidence of a god existing?
Gods with attributs that are logically contradictory are proven not to exist.
The only gods in question are those that are proposed by humans. There are no actual gods in evidence. So, however silly humans may or may not be, there is nothing else god-wise to consider.Every god has some/certain attributes. Its human that give those attributes for a god. Humans are faulty silly creatures that attribute silly things to many things.

Ok. Why?"There are no actual gods in evidence"
See my post #5065
For the evidence of course.Ok. Why?

No, there was no logic behind your statement.Lol.. Whether the earth is a sphere, square, flat, octagon or a triangle.

You asked me to admit something that I dont grant (that is why I asked you to provide your evidence)More false claims where you ignore your past guilt. To many people know how you debate. To be honest you would have had to include references to what you have done in the past.
You were just required to admit something that everyone knew already. Something that your demand confirmed.
Your very question proved what you were required to admit. It was an honesty test, and you failed miserably. You asked me to admit something that I dont grant (that is why I asked you to provide your evidence)
