This is a very personal question for Christians

When you were a child, you were given a child's idea of "God". A sort of invisible friend to keep you company. And for a child that works OK. But now you are an adult, and it's time to put away the child's idea of God. It's time to let go of the "invisible friend" and face up to the reality that we are all free to make some choices in this life: we can live as manifestations of divine love and forgiveness to ourselves and each other, and be healers, or we can choose to live to satisfy ourselves alone, and be toxic. You have no control over other people's choices. The best you can do is just try to stay away from them when they choose to become toxic. Stop blaming God for what other people have done. Stop blaming God for giving us free will. You are an adult, now, and you have a choice to make for yourself.

Will you learn to forgive, and to love, and to become an agent of heath and healing to yourself and the world around you, or will you let your righteous anger and resentment poison your heart, and make you toxic, too? It's up to you.

God gave your tormentors a choice, and they blew it. And sadly, you suffered for it. But now it's your turn. What will you choose? Can you transcend your suffering? If you can, you will find a new adult idea of God that will be yours to keep, and to share, and to cherish.

God is still there as our invisible friend. He may not actually speak to us, buit he uses the holy spirit to guide us if we are truly needing it and laso if we ask for it

you need to still stay in contact with him
