This is what Islam calls Superior Morals?

I'm always hearing from some Muslim in an Islamic country how secular morals sickens them, and they are so much more moral. So killing gay people, performing honor killings, and punishing women for daring to leave the house without a man is moral? You call that moral?

Do you think no one is aware of this? The world is full of outrageous practices that linger from long ago. It takes time and pressure to change these things. One of the obstacles is the apparent beauty that also resides within each religion.
If a religion was totally evil, and from morning to night you were to kill, rape, and ravage, not many people would adhere to it.

Let us just hope it gets better for many who find themselves buried as in your picture. Let us also be thankful we were not raised to do such things, as it could have been this thread was about you, and a picture of you hanging some little child.

It should serve as a reminder to check our own morals, and see where we fall short.

As you should know already, there are many different flavors to Islam. Many Muslims would tell you acts like this are detestable, while others would favor it. Extremism can not be the lens we see all religions through, if we are to make any progress on eliminating these kinds of actions.

By viewing through this lens, we further alienate those that are part of Islam, and do not support this type of action.

I know why you made this thread Yosef, and i completely understand.

However i'm going to use it just to point out that all the actions in these pictures are a disgusting example of sheer ignorance and stupidity and pure evil, perpetrated by people who hide behind their religion to perform these unspeakable actions.

I personally (not speaking for all muslims) disagree with every thing that is performed in countries like Iran or Afghanistan under the name of Islam.

I have just seen it a couple of times, and it always end up the same way. Don´t get me wrong, I do not support what you are trying to highlight at all, but I have seen it enough to know I don´t like where these threads tend to end up. Yes i understand, You have every right to be insulted by the preposterous claims that some people make against secularism or any other system you believe in without having the integrity to at least show a serious evidence for their claims.

Ignorance and self-righteousness take on a lot of forms and none of them are pretty.

For instance: when someone takes it upon themselves to scold the entire Muslim world for things that are happening in a few predominantly Muslim countries.
