So the basic theory of LHPers is that through the betterment of the self we can become "God like." I've been wondering about this lately musing on exactly what "god like" means and if there can be different levels of "god-ness" or even if this "god-ness" can translate into different things for different people of the LHP.
For example, one LHPer feels that by doing whatever it is s/he is doing it will help them become an actual GOD - all powerful, someone to be worshiped and bowed down to, classic super-villain God delusion. That's the extreme.
But then another LHPer feel that by just begin true to one's self and kind to others they will achieve a different level of "god-ness" as they make the world a better place. They may not be remembered, they may not be worshiped, but they are bettering themselves by helping others and this makes them happy. This is their "god-ness".
A third person wishes to be a great artist. They push themselves as hard as they can, they work and work to reach their goal. They succeed and are known as a great artist. This is their "god-ness"
A fourth also wants to be an artist and pushes themselves as the third person did. However, they do not reach the third's level of success but still are happy because they can honestly say they have it their all. This is the fourth's "god-ness."
I apologist if I've not explained this very eloquently, I hope my points come across without too much confusion, but I'm wondering if the above examples of what one persons idea of "god-ness" (or "bettering themselves", "self betterment" or whatever you) constitutes LHP more or less than any other.
Personally I don't believe I'll ever be an actual God as person one does, but I do feel that if I truly strive and try to better myself via the paths I feel matter than I'll archive some sort of personal high-point, my "god-ness".
So what do you guys think? Is LHP actually about being a REAL ("real" in the metaphysical sense) God or just achieving your own kind of "god-ness"?
