The poll is main purpose for this thread. It allows more than one option and allows respondents to speak anonymously. I anticipate in discussion that some, or maybe even many, of us go with some brand of multicultural diversification principle that sure as heck sounds good. I would say is even the ideal.

But I am more or less asking who you think has had the power in this world since beginning of humanity, who now holds that, and who is likely to inherit the power in years to come.

I say the wealthy, athletic, and rich. Because in the beginning, you needed to be athletic in order to survive, because we were all neanderthals and needed to stay fit to hunt and ward off predators. Then we started having people put into positions of leadership, and those were also the most athletic because it was a dominance thing at first, but their mates were probably the most attractive, and then they produced the most attractive kids, who wanted to mate with other attractive people. And then they turned into the wealthy, who have been ruling the world ever since.

If you think about it, animals are much better shape than we are because they need to go out and find their meals. All we humans need to do is go to the grocery store. If we had to farm, hunt and gather (still), we would all be in much better shape.

One thing I didn't realize about poll with 30 options is it can be really tough to line up the responses, and see the results. Oh well.

I voted 2 options: all of these types (and more); and "this world was made for you and me."

I think when I first conceived of this poll a few days ago, my response would've been: wealthy types, elite religious types and incredibly attractive types. But then in contemplating things a bit further, it became clear to me that it is made for all types (and more). And just seems like, at times of say envy, that the world seems to cater to a particular type that is elite. But in contemplation I was receiving idea that the world simply allows for that. So, then I was thinking it seems really like it is more in vein of 'idiots run the asylum.' That insanity rules the day, and doesn't even need to be in power, just be allowed for and in way the world continues to work, it will be fine and dandy (meaning insanity gets to live on, in all its wondrous forms). But further contemplation brought back idea of both sanity and just realization, for me, that we are in a place where 'anything goes' but in a mostly good way. I understand anything goes has chaos implications that are hard to deny, but I am a glass half full guy, and will find order where disorder is perceived. This world is made for you and me, and we are inventing new types all the time, who seem to fit right in, as if this world can accommodate all types.

We should all stop reproducing. Then humans will be gone, and the planet can be given back to the normal animals who don't **** it all up so much.

While I can only sermize the foundation of humanity & have yet to be given a ride in a time mechine....
It is at best to say that those who walk on earth now came from a type of people who were able to adapt. what abilities they used or how they called upon the ways of them to endure & survive is left more to immagination than anything else.
Even archeology sermizes with theroy & conjecture on what they find.
Whatever gave them the ways to perservere is captured as a strength we all still like to see.
I am putting all my resources into the future that this melting pot is not a powder keg; but, a fine wine full of flavor & aplications to savor ! A toast to humanity & the wonders it still holds !
The mystery is not over! while we may not know where we came from....
