No, being swallowed by a fish is the sign of Jonah. But how long was Jonah in the fish?It is from common sense that three days are 3 x 24=72 but time is not the essence of Sign of Jonah.

Jesus did not go into the belly of fish. Right, please? No, being swallowed by a fish is the sign of Jonah. But how long was Jonah in the fish?
I believe Jesus was smart enough to count and when he sai three days and three night that is what he meant.Jesus did not go into the belly of fish. Right, please?
So,Does one mean that Jesus did not show the sign he promised to the Jews?
Regards
Time was not the essence of the Sign of Jonah, that Jesus promised to the Jews. Jesus made no promise to show any sigh to the gentiles. His mission was only for the Jews and to no other nation, please. Right, please?I believe Jesus was smart enough to count and when he sai three days and three night that is what he meant.
You can say "please" all you want but it changes nothing. Jesus said the ONLY sign would be rge three days and nights in the tomb. You may not believe it but that is what he said. And some people actually believe him. If you do not then that is your choice. But it does not change anything. Yes, please.Time was not the essence of the Sign of Jonah, that Jesus promised to the Jews. Jesus made no promise to show any sigh to the gentiles. His mission was only for the Jews and to no other nation, please. Right, please?

Three "days" was a Jewish idiom that could refer to parts of those days or nights, BUT the term three days AND three nights means exactly what is says.
Sorry, my friend. We do NOT know Jesus died on Friday. This is ASSUMED because it says the next day was a sabbath. But there were TWO sabbaths. One for the Passover and one for the weekly Saturday sabbath. We also do not know definetely that He rose on Sunday. When the women went to the tomb on Sunday morning, it was ALREADY empty. You rely too much on what the major churches teach but this does not prove anything.Tbone,
There were many Prophecies in the Holy Scriptures, that we’re not understood u til after they came true, or at least started to be fulfilled.
Since we know that Jesus was Sacrificed on Friday, and he was resurrected on Sunday, it had to be true that Jesus was in the grave parts of three days, part of Friday, all of Saturday, part of Sunday.
One thing to remember, back in the first century, in Rome, which the Jews also used, days started in the evening, and went to the evening of the next day. Not too hard to understand.
And again, nothing says it was a Friday. It was the day before a sabbath but the Passover is a sabbath. Remember Jesus was a Jew.12jtartar,
re: "Since we know that Jesus was Sacrificed on Friday..."
How do you account for the lack of the third night time that the Messiah said would be involved with His time in the "heart of the earth"?
Good point. Jesus was a rebellious Jew.And again, nothing says it was a Friday. It was the day before a sabbath but the Passover is a sabbath. Remember Jesus was a Jew.
Jesus also knew how to count and when he said three days and three nights he meant exactly that.Good point. Jesus was a rebellious Jew.
Why? You do not believe it and will not change your mind. Please mention "three days and three nights" from the four gospels with consensus, that is , Matthew. Mark, John and Luke.

There are no example. I guarantee no Jew ever paid for a three day and three night vacation and then left on Friday evening and came back on Sunday morning.Perhaps someone new looking in may know of examples.

One knows that they were not eye-witnesses of the event of Crucifixion of Jesus, so their accounts differ with one another. The Gospels were not inspired either as the Holy Ghost could not give different stories to each one of them. Right, please? Why? You do not believe it and will not change your mind.
