I'm looking for some music.

So what are your favorite genres and bands in them?

For example

Opera/Classical
1. Opera Babes
2. Bach

Classic Rock
1. Jimi Hendrix
2. The Who
3. Led Zeppelin

Country
1. Tim McGraw
2. Faith Hill
3. Reba Macentire

Just something like that. It can be any genre -- I'm just looking for new music. :)

Anything loungish/electronica/club is good too. :)

I have most classic rock I like, but anything new is always appreciated.

Oh and I almost forgot, if you want to include links to where I can buy the music, that would be cool too, but you don't have to.

This can be a thread where we can all share our favorite music. :)

My genres are pretty general because quite a few of the artists I mentioned are not really classified under specific genres. Some music critics consider The Who one of the first "punk" bands and Cyndi Lauper is not pigeonholed into Rock. How do you classify Tori, Loreena or Tool?

edit: maybe I got carried away.

I would consider Morrissey kind of shoegazerish. In fact, he's supposed to be on my list. Ooops! :D

It's rock that's got a nice British feel to it. It's sometimes dreamy...sometimes it rocks. My favorite shoegazer band is Lush.
