I wish bigoted antisemitism would "go away."

Clearly, it doesn't, and it needs to be exposed and denounced. I will continue to do so.
Go find some first. Your insults are tiring and swallow. The man did go volunteer to serve in the IDF, not the US military. Bringing up facts isn't "antisemitic". You make yourself look stupid throwing that word around to distract from the issue at hand. I love Jewish people who speak on the side of right, like Bernie Sanders, who denounces Israhell's genocide of the people of Gaza. I voted for him twice in the primaries.

Early glance makes me think he is too liberal for my tastes.

Not 'Law and order' enough.
Not 'anti-Hamas' enough

Brilliant! :D

I can't claim ownership to that brilliance, but I was happy to pass it on. :)

Here's a Drudge headline that made me laugh today: It's Walz! And He Doesn't Wear Eyeliner!

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Yay, we need every vote from Minnesota we can get.

Here is what my good friend Chatgpt had to say:

"

Tim Walz's Background and Experience

  1. Current Position:
    • Tim Walz is the Governor of Minnesota, having taken office in January 2019. His experience as a governor gives him executive experience that can be valuable in a national administration.
  2. Previous Experience:
    • Walz served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019, representing Minnesota's 1st congressional district. His legislative experience adds another layer of understanding of the federal government.
  3. Military Service:
    • Walz served in the National Guard for 24 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. This military background can appeal to veterans and those who prioritize military experience in leaders.
  4. Political Alignment:
    • Walz is a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, which aligns with the Democratic Party nationally. His policy positions and political ideology generally align with those of the Democratic base.

Complementing Kamala Harris

  1. Geographic Balance:
    • Harris is from California, a solidly Democratic state. Walz, being from Minnesota, could help appeal to voters in the Midwest, a key region in presidential elections.
  2. Policy Expertise:
    • Harris has a background in law and criminal justice reform. Walz’s experience in education, veterans’ affairs, and agricultural policy can complement her strengths and bring a broader range of expertise to the ticket.
  3. Executive Experience:
    • As a governor, Walz brings executive experience that can balance Harris's legislative and legal background. This combination can be seen as well-rounded leadership.
  4. Moderate Appeal:
    • Walz is often viewed as a moderate Democrat, which could help attract centrist and independent voters. This could balance Harris’s more progressive stance, appealing to a broader electorate.

Considerations and Potential Challenges

  1. Name Recognition:
    • Walz may not have as high a national profile as some other potential VP picks. Increasing his visibility would be necessary to gain widespread voter support.
  2. Overlap in Strengths:
    • Both Harris and Walz have strong legislative backgrounds, which might not provide as much contrast as some other potential picks who have more diverse experiences.
  3. Campaign Dynamics:
    • The dynamics between the VP candidate and the presidential candidate are crucial. It’s essential to consider how well Harris and Walz work together and whether their combined message resonates with voters.

Conclusion

Tim Walz could be a solid choice for Vice President alongside Kamala Harris due to his executive experience, military background, and moderate political stance. He could help balance the ticket geographically and ideologically. However, considerations around his national name recognition and how well he complements Harris’s strengths and campaign strategy would be critical factors in the decision."

Thanks Chatty.
According to wiki he was a sergeant major not a master sergeant.

It seems a bit surprising. He didn't seem to be a frontrunner for most of the search, and he's not from a battleground state. I'll have to trust that the group that picked him knows what they're doing. From the tiny bit I know about him, he seems smart and good on the issues; hopefully he'll give her the boost she needs to win.
Well probably if he's not plastered drunk or something, and likely will freeze on making any decisions under pressure. Took him three days to call the national guard during the BLM riots causing wanton destruction across St Paul and Minneapolis.

^ weird -- leave it to the Trumpettes to denigrate "the Hamas loving wing of the dem party"
There are Hamas supporters in the dem party. I am thankful Harris chose Walz, he is a radical that will be exposed. Conservatives were worried she was going to pick Shapiro, he is more moderate, popular and in a swing state.

My own religion

The man is indecisive , freezes under pressure. and he's likely going to get people killed.

Yeah, believe. I didn't ask for that. I asked for evidence in the end.

"Some believe that Gov. Tim Walz should have deployed the Minnesota National Guard sooner when riots broke out following the police murder of George Floyd."
