If I publically declare my obedience to the Bible I am making a good or a bad name for it.
If I publically declare my obedience to a church I am making a good or a bad name for it.
If I publically declare my obedience to an organization I am making a good or a bad name for it.
If I publically declare my obedience to a man, men or a woman I am making a good or a bad name for him, her or them.
If I publically declare my obedience to God I am making a good or a bad name for God.

Calling on the name of God means to look to God to imitate God in all you do imho publically.

It is what preach the word means I think. It is not a bad thing to preach with words, but it is a better way to preach with an example. Is it not?

Never imitate God, become God, be God, there is nothing outside of God, so if you are trying to imitate God, who are you imitating........a false god ?.

Since the mind itself is the Buddha, and the Buddha is none other than the mind, what Buddha could there be outside yourself? WND

If you replace Buddha with God and mind with heart, what is there outside yourself to follow? Everything is internal as such...

.....when you preach by example, it comes from you/god. Yes, we should. Leaning on external means such as god kind of puts a damper on showing that example since You are the one showing it not god.

Show by example from your inner you/god. Dont lean on others to provide examples if that will block you from knowing yourself too.

If I can't see an external God then I can't see God in others.

I dont understand why not. God is internal. God is in others not external. God is life itself not outside of it looking in.

Id say if god is external, you should be able to see it a part from yourself and ohers. Doesnt work that way.

God is internal. Thats why one can see it in others. Its within them to where they show it. Inside out not outside in

"Mind what people do, not only what they say..."

Seems to me that making the declaration is only going to put the spot light on you.
After you are under the spotlight, your actions will determine what kind of name you make for your declared group
