How vindictive are you?

Do you report that which offends you or do you just let it slide?

Personally, I am of such a highly evolved nature that I would rather ignore the report button. In fact, upon analysis of this report button, I find it as irrational as the need for retail managers who cater to Karen.

None of the answers in your poll reflect my thinking.

Before I became a moderator, I never created a report.

Now I report posts like it's my job.

so far, I have not used that function, although there were times it could have been, but why? what point does it serve?
I never reported bullies in school either.
why?
it is bad form
and everybody despises rats [weird fact of life, that actually makes sense]
Question: if you were a regular at a neighborhood bar and you saw somebody wander in off the street and start urinating on the jukebox, would you tell the bartender or would that make you a rat?

That highly depends on what song was playing.

In some cases, I can understand...

in that hypothetical scenario, if there are no staff to deal with such occasions, I probably wouldn't be a regular or even a patron, however, say for arguments sake, then I would likely go and see why they were doing that...ask them..then point them in the direction of the urinal...or flag the waitress most likely first, or perhaps just loudly yell WTLF....hard to say since it is hypothetical

No matter how thick one's skin, without moderation this place
could see everyone riled up. Civil discussion would become
a rarity.

Btw, I notice that this thread already had some posts poofed.
I didn't see the offense as report-worthy, but it the action was
reasonable. Let us all honor the spirit of the forum.
I don't worship like you do

spirit of truth .....though often difficult to make sure
is the only function worthwhile

deleting a truth......just cause you have thin skin
is sinful

Depends on how its presented.

You can deliver a truth with compassion, or you can deliver it with the intent to belittle.

I have made report of truth
on more than one occasion......and it disappeared

shortly after......I.....disappeared

there are many here that can't handle the truth

It seems that you worship truth.
I don't believe in truth.
Nor alternate truth.
Just opinions....some more supportable than others.

I think I might actually watch that show if someone were to go "Ya know, Maury, those lie detector tests are highly inaccurate to the point they really shouldn't be allowed in court, and we all know you're guiding and baiting this for a more dramatic response for your rambunctious audience."

Do you remember Maury before the 'who's the daddy' episodes? Well, first it was 'send my son/dog/grandmother to bootcamp' episodes, and then it was the 'daddy' episodes. But, way back in the corner of my mind, I remember Maury once being a normal talk show...

Actually, people not speaking up is how a lot--probably most--crime goes unsolved and how many perpetrators are able to strike again. No one loves this silence more than criminals and abusers. Everyone keeps quit, the abuse goes on. Crime continues. Violent criminals have an easier time walking the streets free.
And the "snitches get stitches" mentality is gang crap
It's also redneck hilljack crap and hyper-macho crap. And especially punks trying to look tough who will snitch on you faster than anything else. Even my family is very hardcore into the idea you never, ever, snitch (I'm the only in my family apparently capable of acting like an adult and reporting foul behavior and letting the cops deal with other's people's crap).

Yeah, years and years ago. Just like Jerry Springer before his show became a 30 ring circus condensed into one set.
