Well, that's sure to get then having a 'peek'!:jiggy:
Seriously, do you guys feel as though we men have an equivalent 'cycle' to women. Obviously no where near as bad - but mentally, do you find that there is a discernable 'pattern' of highs and lows ? What annoys me is that although I am pretty sure there is, I have never kept a diary to see what the frequency is.:)

Actually, all people do have a cycle. At different times, we are at different points of physical, mental and emotional ability (this is not related to exercise or education).

In males, testosterone levels are highest in the mornings, but testosterone cycles every 15 minutes. When you become aware of the different effects testosterone has on you, you can actually discern those cycles.

I had a small computer program once (I'm sure they must still be around), for calculating 'biorythms' - I forget the theory on the cyclic periods, but there was supposedly a certain cycle for each of our physical, intellectual, and emotional levels. The graphs for each were a sine wave - each of a different periodicy- apparently, the time when we are supposed to feel at our lowest was when one or more cycles actually were at the 'zero' level - ie half way between the lowest point, and the highest point. There was controversy at the time, on what periods these cycles should be counted on, but I remember the 'physical' was 28 days.:)

I would think that cycles in men are driven by hormones, just as they are in women. But different hormones predominate. Testosterone, for instance, is much more important to males than it is to females.

I know my energy levels revolve around the moon cycle, full being the highest, new being the lowest. But Ive never really noticed any other cyle in my life.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:biglaugh:

I need to spread karma around, but that definitely deserved it. :biglaugh:

I am not sure if I cycle, my spiritual side cycles with the moon, and the seasons. But I have never really paid attention too much.

No women indeed!:149: Hmph! :149: Just try and stop me! :149:

So, does this mean that the next time someone of the male gender accuses me of being hormonal, I can say "right back at ya, baby!"? :p

I tend to agree as I haven't noticed a cyclic nature to my highs and lows. Some days I'm the fire hydrant, some days I'm the dog.
