:D I'm very excited for Trump and his potential legacy to start. I actually softened my opinions on government because of this guy. If he does anything he claims I will feel so proud. It makes me happy knowing this country can heal after Obama. The racism of the Democrats and Obama's bigotry need to go.

I've come to terms with it almost completely.
The big thing I take issue with now is how he acts.
Maybe he'll get stressed out by work enough to finally shut up, that's my only real hope from the presidency.

I guess I feel the same way. The initial "shock" started to wear off since the election. Its been coming and going in waves. Given the first hundred days are the most productive period of a Presidency, we will probably have a pretty good idea of what Trump will be like by then.

The fear and loathing is still there though. As Hunter S Thompson put it: "when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro". This feels like one of those moments with the open road stretching out before us and the terror of the unknown just over the horizon as if we are looking at an empty stage waiting for the performance to begin. Its all very surreal.

The guardian cartoonist caught it the mood very well I think:

Assuming he'll get over his apparent Twitter addiction to actually pay attention to work...

I bet his advisers are so frustrated with Twitter existing. They have some control over filtering what he says everywhere else, but on Twitter he just says whatever the hell he wants and there's nothing they can do about it.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
Regardless, I am excited about the peaceful transfer of power that's about to take place. Inarguation day is an important part of the US as an insitution.

No, I do not agree with the tactics and politics of the man about to be sworn in, but we fight the battles where we can, and hang on to our core values and decency.

It's going to be okay, as long as we all stay engaged.

What injury do you perceive that needs healing? (serious question).
Isn't it the Republicans that are the more racist? The Democrats/liberals are all about racial unity, integration, peace, harmony and co-operation.

Alas, the two parties seem to have very different core values, and the country's split into two antagonistic -- and engaged -- camps.
Last time we had such a schism of engaged, antagonistic camps was at the Lincoln inauguration...

Democrats are in historically pathetic shape as Trump becomes President. They lack a clear power base, no distinct national leader, they cannot figure out how to win again and over the last two weeks have pegged themselves as the Party of Cop Haters and there couldn't be a more losing moniker than that as rioters only reinforce this ugly face into the minds of America as the Democrats face even greater losses from Americans who see them as violent and even thugs, they have lost the Governorships, lost the State Legislatures in huge numbers, lost the Senate, lost the House, lost the Presidency, will now lose the Courts, the bureaucracies will be purged.

Yesterday I saw an ad on ZeeTV (Indian television) of a Hindu group having a huge inauguration celebration that, in typical India style, will span over five days. This group worked directly with Trump. Many do not understand what is happening and will happen - this is growing roots of a banyan tree. The seed of the banyan is one of the smallest seeds of all, and grows huge.

Yuge.

Today is Day One when no matter how much they scream as a minority party, they will not be able to "NeverTrump" their way back from this. "Never" is now about to turn into Always.

There will be a DOW 20k. There will be Trumpcare. There will be a "new world order" and no, we will not go to war with Russia and yes, Americans WILL be allowed to watch and listen to news from all over the world be it Russia, England's BBC, Canada's CBC, India, the Free Mosul Radio, be it even North Korea - no, the Democrats will not be able to take this right away even if they think this right is influencing an election, tough luck, we will not be forced to only hear the DNC news, screw them.

The best part of all is Twitter, or whatever form it will now take. A direct give and take, this is also a new dawn of digital in the high levels of government where even if hacked, no one cares really. Do not assume this method - which also helped the Republicans (by the way, it wasn't only Trump) and also helped Trump win - this ePresidency and eCongress will NOT be dependent on Twitter, apps come and go, but this will not go and soon a new app will arse specific to and for Trump.

Yawn, I just don't believe the government is actually going to do anything of worth. I also don't believe there will be any better choices 4 years from now. Fortunately I have my family and that is all that matters.

1. The morning news is going to be so exciting for the next four years, or maybe less time than that. :D

2. Mr and Mrs Obama are winners, now and on into history, and America will praise them more and more as time goes by. As individuals and as a couple they are stars, forever.

I bet Trump supporters hate twitter too. They call it elitist celebrity lame-stream SJW media.
