Toddler on inflatable unicorn rescued off the coast of Greece

And some people say that unicorns don't exist.

A child who was found floating into the sea on an inflatable unicorn was rescued off the coast of Greece Monday, according to media reports and video.

In a moment when the girl, who is about 4-years-old, briefly lost her parents' attention, she was quickly swept away into the Gulf of Corith aboard the unicorn buoy. Greek City Times reported the child was over 1600 feet from shore near the town of Antirrio by the time she was rescued.

According to the New York Times, the toddler was saved by crew members of a 331-foot-long ferry and then reunited with her family, shortly after the captain of the ship spotted her in nearby water.

The rescue was captured on video, including a post shared by passenger Petros Kritsonis on Facebook.

Apparently there have been other incidents where people were rescued on inflatable unicorns.

This isn't the first time someone has found themselves stranded on an inflatable unicorn .

In 2019, WNCT9 reported that an 8-year-old boy was rescued after drifting away from the North Carolina coast on a unicorn-shaped raft.

I have or had a button that said "Somewhere, just out of sight, the unicorns are gathering." Now they're making their move.

Reminds me of the time I got lost on a beach aged about two or three, and where I was carried to a Children's Home by a policeman, to be later collected by my mother. Rather traumatic - given that it is my earliest memory, and being quite vivid - and one has to wonder about parenting styles for such to happen. Although that was the exception to the rule for my mother - fortunately.
