treated better by Muslims - why?

When it was time for me to go to secondary school I went to a school that was ethnically 95% white and 5% Pakistani

The other pupils there treated me like ****

It was relentless and sustained

I then transferred to another secondary school that was 5% white and 95% Pakistani

And I was treated much, much better by my peers there

All the **** I got was from the other white kids

The Pakistanis treated me much better than any of the white kids

Although there was one Pakistani psychopath - the last I heard he was in prison for armed robbery.........

So:

How come Muslims treated me much, much better than non-Muslims?

That is something that's always interested me

I think possibly because they had mostly had more of a religious upbringing than the white kids there?

I wouldn't hold up Pakistan as a beacon of civilized, compassionate behavior. In any case, you won't get a substantive answer because all you've given is a vague anecdote. What do you want to be told?

I agree that Pakistan is a dreadful place but in my experience the Pakistanis were nicer than the English kids, in that particular school

Which I wouldn't have expected since Pakistan is such a hell-hole especially for non-Muslims

That's my life experience

I've shared it

Do with it as you will

I can grant that certain religious cultures may inculcate conscientiousness in those who grow up in them.

You were bullied in high school, I'm sorry to hear that. But I can't help but to suspect that your claim that all the white kids at a particular school had it in for you to be hyperbolic. Most of my bullies were white (Australia is majority white) but that doesn't mean they bullied me because they were white. On the other hand I had a few Sri Lankan friends in school and when I worked at McDonald's. I've never had an unfriendly interaction with a Sri Lankan. That doesn't mean Sri Lankans are nicer than white people. There are just more white people to potentially annoy me.

Perhaps not, but just because a country's international reputation might stink, doesn't mean the average citizens in it do, too. Its always the worst in any group who are the ones remembered and recognized, unfortunately.

You were an outsider. They were outsiders. Maybe you got lucky.

Bullying followed me everywhere until I started standing up for myself and getting assertive.

Well, it could be that the Muslims are a minority in England (you're in England if I recall correctly) and have more pressure to earn respect and acceptance than the white, native born kids.
