Trick or Treat for UNICEF

In case you guys haven't heard of it, Trick or Treat for UNICEF is a great program to do this Halloween. Just ask for some pocket change along with or instead of candy, then write a check or donate via a CoinStar machine to UNICEF. Even something like 30 cents can give a kid antibiotics that can help save their life. Every little bit helps, and it's a fairly widely-recognized program, so you won't have people calling the cops on you for asking for money.

If you fill out a form with your name and address they'll send you a box to use. If you don't get it by Halloween (you should if you fill it out by the 24th), they have a print-off you can put on a box instead.

If I trick-or-treat at all, it will be for a charity. I might try it for something else besides Unicef though. Maybe a Darfur related one. Or one related to the plight of the other great apes. Maybe I'll do all of three and split the money into thirds.

Unicef is the most likely one though.

Just wanted to bump this up in case anyone that didn't see it beforehand wants to do it... It's too late for them to mail you a box, but you can print off a canister wrapper and go around with it.

Well, we didn't get to go to too many houses (combination of being in a rural area and not going out for too long), but we got a decent amount Now I've just gotta mail off a check.
