Trump, Gosar, and Greene Claim Biden Ordered FBI to Assassinate Trump During Mar A Lago Document Seizure

No, as absurd as it is, we need to allow our representatives to speak their minds no matter what those minds may be. :(
There is, however, a very grave danger in this day and age -- and that is that social media makes it much more likely than it ever was that whatever a representative says, it will be believed by those who see only the media that supports that representative, and therefore believed.

I can remember when I was much younger, when there was no internet at all, what we had available were 2 or 3 newspapers, radio and television stations. With so little choice, we tended to jump around -- and were thus often presented with all sides, rather than just one.

Surely we're all aware that there are Americans that will never listen to CNN, and others who wouldn't touch FOX if their life depended on it. And, let's face it, only old fogies like me read newspapers these days.

A badly-informed electorate can't be a good thing for the health of a democracy, don't you agree?

Yes, the "drug test Biden" demand is one of them. I have no problem with that, as long as both sides are both urine and blood tested under careful monitoring. Pee tests are easily faked if one is not being watched. Blood tests are much more difficult. I have heard rumors of drug abuse by Trump. I have not heard any such rumors about Biden.
I would assume that drug testing would be applied to both if either. My answer to Trump's demand to take drug tests ("What are you hiding?" asks Trump if Biden objects) would be, "Sure, if you'll agree to take lie detector tests. I'll take one too. No, Donald? What are you hiding?"
"Bleach blond bad built butch body"
Ouch!

Any sane or rational person would realize that it would have to be done to both parties. But we are talking about Trump here.
MTG led off with a lame attack on her fake eyelashes. You know the response.

Here at least, protections on speech are dependant on the forum under which the speech is made.
So our pollies are protected while in parliament, but not outside it.

Agreed.
I was listening to a podcast the other day, and they said that in this election cycle more than in previous ones, discussion of policy positions is almost non-existent. Instead there are the overarching issues with the leaders (Biden's age/health, Trumps...well...everything...) and there are high level understandings of which 'team' people belong to on issues like immigration (in particular), but any actual examination of policy, or detailed discussion on track records is almost entirely absent.

It's nothing new for politics to be increasingly like this, of course, but it does seem (from here) to be exceptionally the case this time around. Perhaps the debate will help. Almost said that with a straight face.

Yeah, I saw the congressional foofaraw on the news.

And the response from Crockett was quick, intelligent, and a gut punch that hurt Greene where she lives. I'm sure that she's very insecure about her appearance. She used to be a gym work-out junkie, so the references to a bad body were probably especially painful for her to hear.

Kimmel or Colbert recently showed this image of a Neanderthal couple on his late night show. The female looked like Greene. Then they dissolved this face into Greene's:

another defamation suit reserved for the one that publicly stated "Bleach blond bad built butch body"
Nobody was defamed. Nobody was named. Crockett's comment was, "I’m just curious ... If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?"

If it hasn't already happened, I'll bet that Crockett is salivating to hear Greene complain about that comment so that Crockett can ask Greene why she thought it was about her.

But that isn't really the issue.
Several Congress critters have made an accusation that Biden's performance is the result of an unknown drug.

If I said Jesus was a pedophile would you not investigate further before giving the claim credence.
Yup, that is where we are.
"Unknown drug" LOL
Now they're just making up drugs that don't exist. Good grief these people are pathetic.

I may be guilty of "body shaming" myself since I posted that Neanderthal woman and MTG on this site in the past. The way that I figure it is if one tries to dish it out it is not inappropriate to give the same back. And one thing that the MAGA's will do is to try to attack others personally in any way that they can.
