She has lead many teenagers and young adults to invest themselves in the cause and was credited for making climate change a central subject in the last Canadian election allowing a narrow win of the Canadian Liberal Party who was in a very bad posture without it. She has also made high profile speaches in the US Congress and at the UN assembly calling for actions against climate changes. These all counts as ''raising awareness'' for a cause. Denying her influence and her status as communication leader for climate change is ridiculous in my opinion.

Provide evidence that anything she said is linked with Canada's elections. 500K people is preaching to the choir. The Liberal party was forwarding and enacting CC policy before she opened her mouth. Heard of the carbon tax? It sounds you are just making things up whiling not being in Canada.

The UN is a major advocate already. Preaching to the choir.

These all counts as ''raising awareness'' for a cause.

Nope neither by evidence nor definition. See you need to actually demonstrate people now know something they did not. Telling people something they already know is not raising any awareness.

I think Trump is a dick, and in major denial about climate change.
But the descriptions of Greta keep flip flopping from "delicate young girl" to "precociously smart and self possessed public figure". I call that hypocrisy.
