There's other reasons too, but they've all been aired for years now.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions... and oversimplifications.
Trump is a narcissistic nativist, sexual predator, and pathological liar with the intellectual depth of pond scum.
That's not why I don't like Trump. I don't like him (as a president) because he's incredibly ignorant, literally refuses to research into situations and just sort of blunders on soundbite by soundbite. And he may not kiss any *** but he sure as heck expects others to kiss his. As a result he gets flippant and juvenile over any criticism and writes off questioning as 'nasty questions' or 'fake news.' Anyone who isn't a yesman and can be removed will be.
The result? Trump is a terrible combination of high ego, low information and it's been disastrous for the country.
As a person I don't like him because he's a serial liar, misogynistic, xenophobic, racist, greedy, arrogant and a laundry list of other unpleasant traits.

Apparently that's a very good road map on how to become a successful politician.
I think the thread title is too much of an understatement
to explain why he's hated more than the usual partisanship.
It's like using "benign" when "malignant" is appropriate.
While that might sound harsh, I'll temper it by saying that
he's not as bad as his most fervent critics say.
Certainly how you become a successful tyrant. I have, thankfully, met politicians who actually give a ****.
Only because people keep voting for such.

Well it certainly doesn't reflect that in the presidential race. That goes for any candidate in any party.

Do we really vote for them? I really do wonder sometimes.
It seems there is only a limited narrow pool of people to choose from and even then, the elimination process almost always ends up with the worst possible person where there is only vague or non-existent plans to accomplish any said goal.
