Trump is the Perfect President for the US.

Now you may be wondering whether I've taken some seriously potent drugs, but hear me out.

The reason trump is the best President for the US is exactly because he'll be the worst. He'll ruin the economy (what's left of it) alienate allies, and probably end up betraying the rights of very many citizens of the US. He'll drive America into the ground.

And hopefully in doing so will destroy the creature comforts that keep Americans in their seats watching Wheel of Fortune and cause them to rise up and seek real change in America.

So this means you have a high opinion of Hillary relative to Trump?
How well did it work for us to spend a couple trillion dollars attacking Iraq?
Hillary voted to invade & to stay there, you know.
This was pretty ruinous for our economy.
Since then, she's threatened Iran.
Oh, boy.

To vehemently decry Trump, while remaining silent about Hillary's record is to by default support her.
Are you sure you want to do that?
Or is she the better candidate to effect a John Galt style collapse & resurrection?

With Trump, it won't work that way. He's already building an alarming support group based on his anti-Mexican and anti-Muslim rhetoric. Instead of rebelling against the "machine," I see it as far more likely that people will fall in line to support further authortarian measures, strengthen the Right, and instead of blaming the Jews we'll blame Mexicans and Muslims for all our problems, and things can easily get worse. At best, the price of our food sky rockets because immigrants, especially illegal immigrants who take agriculture jobs that pay pennies, have been badgered and pushed out. At worst, even Muslim sympathizers and converts will be detained "for your protection."

In 1932, Ernst Thalmann, the leader of the German Communist Party said: "Nothing could be more fatal for us than to oppurtunistically over-estimate the danger posed by Hitler-Fascism".

On the 30th January 1933, the day that Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, the KPD declared: "After Hitler, we will take over!"

Haven't you been paying attention these last seven years? You've pretty much painted a scenario that has already come to life. To most of his supporters Trump is the antithesis to what you are describing, thus his popularity; and I think you will see his appeal encompass many more segments of voters.

If Trump poses a Hitlerian danger because he's possibly dangerous,
why does this not mean that Hillary doesn't pose exactly the same?

times of revolutionary/rapid change are always an opportunity--but there is no guarantee that the outcome will be to your or anyone else's liking. That is, there is also a threat to living in such interesting times.

I don't really understand the mentality of "worse is better". It's extremely nihilistic, cynical and misanthropic. I mean, this isn't a damn video game. This is people's lives. Millions of people are already struggling and in the edge in America (I'm one of them), and people hope that it gets worse for them? That's just disgusting. I'm speechless. Now excuse me, but I have to be off to see my case worker to see if there's any help for me, knowing that what little is there would be trashed if someone like Trump came to power. Homelessness and destitution, here I come!

I'm not saying Hilary is better than the already bad status quo. Nor would I exonerate Obama's indecision and failure to address the toxic consequences of the Bush Presidency. The threat to the US constitution and to American's civil liberties comes from both major political parties.

What I am saying is that Trump will make things one hell of alot worse than they are now. He would take the existing abuses and build on them further. Google was rather helpful on this as it gave a list of quotes after I search "Trump Policies". You can quote Clinton at me in response if you want.

“I want surveillance and I don't care, are you ready for this, are you ready,” Trump asked the crowd.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists.”

The military under Trump, he said, will “be so big, so strong, so powerful, nobody is going mess with us.”

“I will build a military so strong that we'll never have to use it because they are going to be saying, 'I'm not going to mess with that guy,' ” he said, without explaining how he would bolster America's defense.

Donald Trump offered his own strategy for dealing with Islamic State extremists and President Assad: “Let them fight each other and pick up the remnants.”

“I will...quickly and decisively bomb the hell out of ISIS, will rebuild our military and make it so strong no one -- and I mean, no one -- will mess with us.”

"As has been stated continuously in the press, people are pouring across our borders unabated. Public reports routinely state great amounts of crime are being committed by illegal immigrants. This must be stopped and it must be stopped now.”

“These are people that shouldn't be in our country. They flow in like water.”

he will “greatly strengthen our border, making it impenetrable, putting a stop to illegal immigration once and for all. I will bring jobs back to the United States.”

The root cause of all the welfare payments to illegal aliens is the so-called 'anchor baby' phenomenon,” he explains.

“I've talked to the greatest legal people, spoken to the greatest security people. There's absolutely no way of saying where these people come from. They may be from Syria, they may be ISIS, they may be ISIS related".

Defending his plan to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, Trump warned that we will “become so politically correct as a country that we can't even walk. We can't think properly. We can't do anything."

“The border is a disaster, Bill. People are pouring in, and I mean illegal people, illegal immigrants -- 300 and some odd thousand are in your state jails right now, according to Homeland Security."

If you want to accuse me of something, it's that I take Trump at his word. When I hear someone take extreme positions, I've learned that it is best to take them seriously and assume they mean it.

I've no accusations to make.
I only urge scrutiny on the risks of Hillary too.
Who is more dangerous?
There are many factors, eg, war, USSC justices, taxation....
That's a judgement call we each must make.

Except the economy hasn't been run into the ground, allies have not been alienated, and though there have been some violations of rights, there has been nothing as extreme as banning an entire religion from entering or calling an entire nationality moving here a bunch of violent druggies and rapists.

fair enough.

To clarify, my original post was drawing a comparision between "the worse, the better" mentality (the worse the social conditions are, the better the chances of revolution) of the german communists. it was not intended as an attempt to equate Trump to Hitler, though it probably could be read as one.

People always perk up when Adolf enters the group, no matter how remote the comparison.
