Trump picks Russel Vought for OMB, Medicaid and Social Security cuts to come

Trump picked the project 2025 archetect Russel Vought to head the Office of Management and Budget. He was in Trump's first administration and favored heavy cuts to Medicaid, food stamps, and even Social Security benefits. He was reported as cutting 1.6 trillion from Medicaid in the 2020 budget plan. He is certainly going to suggest similar cuts to the 2025 and future budgets targeting these programs, which will affect many of the most vulnerable citizens.

This might illustrate what the Trump administration intends to do to reduce the deficit. Of course these cuts are in the shadow of the massive tax cuts expected to be continued for the wealthy, and even lower tax rates for corporations. Combine these budget cuts to whatever Musk and Vivek suggest be cut will surely ripple down chaos and financial ruin to many who rely on these programs.

Vought will surely be eager to cut as much as possible to reduce the deficit, and without much concern about the vulnerable Americans who it will affect.

@Twilight Hue might not like cuts to
programs that he'd enjoy.
Trump....traitor not only to the country,
but also to people who mistakenly
voted for him.

How many poor and elderly voted for Trump not understanding how that act will ruin their lives? There will be data collected eventually. This Vought guy seems rather vicious with his cuts.

What do you think will happen to Trump's approval rating as he cuts Medicaid, Food Stamps, and Social Security benefits?

How will he justify it? That the deficit needs to be cut, all the while cutting taxes for the wealthy? Will the elderly be fine with that?

He'll really pay for that during the next election. Oh, wait......

Republicans have been wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare for decades. Anything for the corporate agenda.
It's sad there's elderly people that voted for Trump and weren't aware of Republican policy.
Oh well, live and learn.
