Care to give some highlights or rather lowlights? the MIC conspiracy theory has been around for years yet I have never seen any names of members of this group or any proof that it exists, just general claims and accusations of it's existence. Do you believe that there is a "deep state" and do you have any proof that it exists if you do believe in one?

The MIC consists of billion dollar corporations in the defense sector. Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, etc. Think battleships, aircraft, weapons, ammunition, etc. These corporations rely on the government tit (my money) for profits and contracts.
They employ lobbyists in Washington that convince elected officials to support/remove laws that can hurt profitability.
The pentagon audit showed there is very little oversight on how $700 billion dollars of my money is used. The people who write the contracts and laws on regulations control the fate of these corporations. Which is why they invest much money into the swamp and making profits at our expense.
Others have mentioned that a large portion of the funds allocated just 'vanish.' People who've worked there.
So you got republicans out there always wanting to give the pentagon more and more of our money. Charging us enormous premiums for their products.
I don't know about you, but my tax dollars should be accounted for and not lobbied away into the pockets of crooked corporations.

See; War Power Resolution. Congress gave a lot of power to POTUS regarding these non-declared wars including withdrawing without Congressional approval. Ergo Congress is whining over a power they granted POTUS. More so Congress has little issues with these non-declared wars given the last declaration of war made by the USA was WW2. Korea, Vietnam, Iraq 1/2, Libya, Afghanistan are all "policing action" thus not bound by laws grounded in a declaration of war thus power Congress would normally have.

Congress could revoke the Resolution but doesn't as Congress is quite happy with these conflict for the most part. Trump just used it in way that the War Hawks didn't expect as there have been a long line of Hawkish POTUS including Obama that never went against US intervention policy of the last half-century.

They don't need evidence to show a causal connection.
A president once said it, & certainly they're never dishonest or wrong.
Also, the accusation is repeated so often by so many that it must be true.

Heaven forbid they face the fact that voters like leaders who wage wars.
That would mean taking some personal responsibility for the cost & carnage.
It's much easier to blame capitalism, calling it the "MIC".

I know Trumpers will always say have you read your own source.There are several sources for this including Trumps own tweets.But no I do not have much knowledge on the military.

From what I understand,this could be wrong I am not saying its fact, according to one of the Republican Senators he said the Repuclican's and Dems stood up to Trump and said this is wrong.

2 Republican senators Jim Mattis one of them and they said he should have gone to Congress and did not actually go through the proper channel,s. The Securtiy people are trying to figure out whats going on he onfused some of the Military security people. I'm bad about knowing a lot of his,

Actually, according to the article Trump himself is directly contradicting what he said so emphatically last December 19th.

Not that it is much better government, mind you. Unfortunately, it is also not all that surprising.

To be fair, Syria is a tough nut to crack at the best of times. And while having such U-turns on serious policy matters is terrible government and yet all too typical for Trump, it makes for great ratings.

Now all that you need is to convince people to hire him back for a reality show that is not quite so expensive and dangerous instead of the current one.
