If you were familiar with the trial she presented more than "her word against his". That is why she won. One thing that he was told that he could not do was to slander her. That is a different topic and not related. Actually the judge demonstrated that he was the opposite of what Trump claimed. And it shows that the only Trump tactics that work legally are his delaying tactics. If he sentenced him before the election Trump could easily sidestep prosecution as President. That would make it pointless. It could also be seen as the courts interfering with an election even though all of the delays in the various cases are mostly Trump's doings. His four cases are still on and if there had not been so many ridiculous delays they would all have been done by now. But Trump knows that he is guilty. His only hope was to delay and then win the election. That was probably his main incentive from the start. In fact there is still the original IRS case against him out there. That is apt to cost him at least $100 million. And perhaps some prison time as well. The IRS is very forgiving unless someone makes them work too hard. Then they tend to drop the hammer on them. Wesley Snipes knows that now. Nicholas Cage learned from that case and that was why there was a whole bunch of rather poor Nicholas Cage movies that came out for a few years. He had to pay his taxes.

Perhaps, but we also know that some powerful men would not take "no" for an answer, or in the case of Bill Cosby he would not even give them the chance to say no. If you want to claim that Carroll was the sort that would use her body even that would not excuse Trump's attempted and possible successful rape. When one woman makes a claim against a man then we need more evidence. When multiple women make verry similar claims then they become rather believable. And then there is Trump's own admissions that he would use his power and privilege to spy on underaged girls as they were changing clothes.
