Trump to FBI Director Comey: You're Fired!

Not Religious
I recognize it for what it is, because I know it so well. It has a certain coarseness to it, as a result of his Alpha personality, is all. Like me.
People can't quite process him, because they've never seen anything like it before.
He may be good, bad, or anything in-between, but for a political figure, he's an Ace. Nobody else in in the same league.

:)> If God exists, he always has, and we certainly haven't found him yet. My biggest fear is settling on what could be an illusion when the truth might be attainable.

Don't worry. Somebody has found him. The truth is attainable.
People know exactly who Trump is. He's been in the public spotlight for decades. Now all of a sudden he's 'new?'

Unfit.

Why mention that Comey told him he wasn't under investigation 3 times?

It almost seems a clumsy message to America, like "see, see everyone? He says I'm not being investigated!"
Yeah, I guess that's his childish reason for that comment. I couldn't figure out why he said that.

Feather, if your intuition was so great, you'd be preparing for Trumps impeachment
It is true that firing Comey right now raises people's suspicion that Trump is trying to hide something (relating to the Russia investigation).

Of course. Comey was leading the investigation, and he hasn't done anything in the past month worth firing him over.

And, how on earth is enjoying thinking a bad thing?
Nothing wrong with enjoying it, as a distraction, for entertainment purposes.
For actually interacting with Reality, it is total crap.
100% of mentally ill people are thinkers.
Intuition gives the clear view, untainted, unambiguous, pure.
Unfortunately, almost nobody in the Western world can do it any more.

EX-FREAKING-ZACTLY!

You said it all by yourself -- you don't know, so you gotta believe. I'm a bit more flexible -- I can stand not knowing something, and continue trying to find out without making up fairy stories to fill in gaps that make my uncomfortable. Truth is better than making it up to suit your comfort level.
Those who believe in God have evidence of his existence. It is the atheist who lacks the evidence of God. If you simply did not have a belief in God, you would not speak of those who do believe in God as people that are making up fairy stories to fill in the gaps. If you gave those who believe an ounce of respect, you would not speak of them with such disrespect, and you would try to learn about what it is that they have that you don't have, and try to figure out how to get it. But that isn't the case. Clearly it is not about you not knowing. It is about you believing that you are somehow better, because you hate the God who so far has rejected you, and given you no cause to believe in Him.

Yeah, I suspect firing Comey moved several fence-sitters in the direction of impeachment.

So, you think that conscious reasoning is a bad thing. Why is it a bad thing when pondering something that is impossible to understand through mere intuition (by impossible I mean impossible for any human being)?

Nothing is impossible for intuition. It is only unsuitable for certain things, like algebra, logarithms, and becoming insane.

What about the theory of relativity? Intuition isn't going to get you to understanding it. Even einstein had to ponder it for quite a long time. But, it is incredibly important in understand reality and the universe in which we live.

GOP Intelligence chairman troubled by Trump's firing of FBI director

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.) said Tuesday he is “troubled by the timing and reasoning” of President Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey.

“I have found Director Comey to be a public servant of the highest order, and his dismissal further confuses an already difficult investigation by the committee,” Burr said in a statement.

The chairman is leading a Senate investigation into Russia’s influence over the 2016 presidential election.

“In my interactions with the director and with the bureau under his leadership, he and the FBI have always been straightforward with our committee,” Burr said. “Director Comey has been more forthcoming with information than any FBI director I can recall in my tenure on the congressional intelligence committees.”

Burr’s statement, along with statements of concerns Tuesday evening by two other Republican chairmen, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), raises pressure on Republicans to endorse the appointment of a special prosecutor or the creation of an independent committee to examine Russia’s influence on domestic politics.

It seems fashionable to use any random eastern philosophy (here taoism) to support ones own random nonsense.
How precisely are you a Taoist?

"Hey you're the one apparently hating on people who hate Trump, whilst tut tutting at their intolerance for anyone not exactly like themselves."

Never have I said, ever, ever, that I hate anyone. This whole thread is full of it, but not from me.
Trump seems to push peoples buttons on both sides. I've reached the point where I just throw up my hands and just watch from the sidelines with a bucket of popcorn.

I've tried so hard to have this kind of reaction, but I just can't get over his history as a businessman. He is such an unethical, ruthless, bullying, ignorant man who uses his money to push people around and always get what he wants. The fact that this man is president is just too painful to ignore, imho.

And, how on earth is enjoying thinking a bad thing?

In other words, how on earth is tantalizing one's own ego a bad thing? Or in other words, how on earth is tormenting and teasing one's self with the sight or promise of something that is unobtainable a bad thing? Seems self evident to me, and unproductive.

Yeah, well, considering both of our histories with "Leaders" Trump is somewhere in the middle for me. Or at least someone who is surely better than at least one guy somewhere. Granted he does come across as an unethical ruthless *******.
