Trump to Purge Generals

That's why the military teaches discipline. Not all people who join the military have what it takes.

No, discipline is needed. If troops are easily distracted then they aren't fit.

And what makes you an expert anyway?

Ah, so the immature MAGAs can't handle it. You guys just aren't fit. It's amazing you guys can get to work on time and grocery shop on your own.

What is called "woke" are mature and capable people who aren't struggling with their excessive bias and lack of discipline like MAGAs show themselves to be.

You have little respect for those servicemembers who have discipline and can handle working with women. How did you develop such disrespect and contempt for mature men?

So you think the rest of the world should not mature, and learn discipline? Just because MAGAs are lazy doesn't mean the rest of the world has to lower its standard.

That's why we need those who are mature and disciplined, not a bunch of insecure MAGA men. You guys can find a place somewehre else in society, maybe warehouse work. Jobs that don't require too much.

We disagree with ideas, just as you do. So we can't express disagreement, but you can? More MAGA privilege. MAGAs don't do well in open debate because they have beliefs, but struggle to expalin how their beliefs are rational and factual. Look at your comment above, it's you who is intolerant but you blame critical thinkers.

Why can't you defend your ideas with facts and a coherent argument? That's the question.
Just like I predicted - A lefty came gun blazing!:D
You guys don't get it. You will lose again. It will be JD Vance after Trump.
So, you will be whining for at least12 years.:)

My hope is that when they fail, and really screw everything up, that the American public turns on them both. There's a likelihood we'll only be whining for about 4 years.

If someone is willing to die defending democracy, we should welcome them. Gays have served honorably and sometimes heroically during wartime.

Still feeling victimized because you have beliefs but can't explain how they are truthful or rational, and critical thinkers point it out?

Are you claiming to be clarvoyant, now? Why not post some lottery numbers and prove it?

I'm confident Trump will continue to show everyone that he's inept and was a poor choice by non-thinking voters. Many will make the same mistake next time, but we will see.

If Trump ran for president on planet Vulcan he would get zero votes. Why? They would say to vote for Trump is illogical.
So, you will be whining for at least12 years.:)
Don't confuse critique with whining. I'm not sure you understand the difference.

What is worse than "catastrophizing" ? You of course. Just look in the mirror.
You actually want the elected President to fail. You don't care about the consequences.
It is anti-American, disloyal, unpatriotic and treacherous.
When Biden won - I wanted him to tackle the situations and succeed. If he had succeeded - we all would have succeeded.

In response to your other question to someone else - I was about to post when I got attacked. So I had to erase it and respond to him.
Here is my response...

What could possibly exclude gays, for instance, from serving if they already meet the necessary prerequisites?
It is not about excluding anyone. Just implement the 'don't ask - don't tell' policy again until folks are ready.
This has nothing to do with the ability to do the job.
It is all about the "distraction".
It is all about final outcome. End result!

If you put a white doorman/bouncer at the door in a predominantly black area where most of the club-goes are black then you are asking for trouble. That doorman will receive some unfavorable treatment. Young folks will pick on him when he tries to control them or check their ID's etc. A Black doorman probably will do a better job.

In a military settings - I am not talking about blacks and whites. We have (pretty much) outgrown those differences. However would you allow female and males to share tents and shower in a military camp? Is it not a distraction when a gay man comes into the locker room?
That is why I said - let the nature take its course.

Anyhow - at the end of the day - you have to go with what make things more efficient with the military and eliminates all distractions. At least for now!

There will be time in the future to sprinkle around your woke voodoo spells later when we, the world is more open to receiving it.

Now time for you guys to reload!:D

Maga hostility...so rampant & noisy it is.
Now, let's wipe the spittle from our screen, & consider another view.

Trump's failure can mean success for the country.
- Had he failed to pack SCOTUS with fundies, Roe v Wade would've survived.
- If he fails at mass deportations, there'll be less suffering, & more economic success.
- If he fails at prosecuting all his enemies, there'll be less corruption.
That would free up resources to go after criminals.
- If he & RFK Jr fail at reducing vaccination, fewer people will get sick & die.

I don't hope he'll fail. He will. Tariffs will be his ultimate downfall. You think things are expensive now?

If he purges the military of generals who are competent but simply not loyal to him and him alone or MAGAmania, gods help us all.

" We have (pretty much) outgrown those differences. " And we'll continue to outgrow many more.

I would think the ones Trump wants out are the ethical patriots. The ones to worry about are who remain.

The big question we face is: Do senate republicans have balls?

Reporting says that Trump intends to purge anyone who worked with Mark Milley. Why? Is it a Keyser Soze thing to get rid of friends and friends of friends to make a point about not expressing personal opinions about the criminal president elect? Can the forum MAGAs explain this to us? Is this what you wanted when you cast your vote?
Milley was a swamp rat. Milley started to work for Trump, in Oct 2019. That is time frame when the Hunter Biden Laptop had been commandeered by the FBI, and by December of that same year; 2019, it was found to be authentic. Milley, due to his position, who reported to Trump, would have known this FBI finding of the laptop's authenticity. Yet he carried the water for the DNC and swamp by staying silent, so they could continue law fare. Biden would not have been nominated in 2020, in the DNC Primaries, if this news came out in December, from Milley on behalf of Trump. Biden would have been a security risk.

General jobs' are to serve, the President; commander and chief of all the Generals. He is not supposed to be subservient to the DNC and swamp. That was treason. There are lot of Generals who are political hacks and are not focused on their jobs; weapons contractors. These are the ones who need to go, and their positions given to patriots.

The DNC benefits by this type of sleazy General, and it does not want to lose that cheating edge. Milley stayed on with Biden for several years as reward for being a sleaze. The four nasty years of Biden-Harris could have been avoided if Milley had been a Patriot who believes in the chain of command and the rule of law. This is why he now wears a target.

Very specific claim.
Evidence?

If Trump turns the military MAGA and they follow orders it’s not a stretch to see him order troops against citizens who protest. How will the independents react to this? Or the libertarians? Even his followers will see it crosses a line.

I've been thinking about this, and I think you're wrong. If Trump uses the military against protestors, there will be three primary reactions. First, I believe (and I'm not saying I know for a reason), I believe that the 'MAGA followers will be A-Okay with it. For the most part, as far as I can tell, the true believers are a more diverse group than one might imagine. While I openly acknowledge that some of them, even perhaps most, have racist-homophobic-xenophobic-whateverphobic tendencies, for the most part they are people who wish to see a narrower role for the Federal government in their day-to-day lives. This does not strike me as completely unreasonable. The original founding of the US had kind of the same vibe, where people wanted to throw off the shackles of a centralized government that didn't seem to have their best interests at heart, but freely expected to use their money for that government's own plans. People who wish to see less involvement from the central government are less likely to be appalled if force is used to reinforce what they see as traditional values. Again, my opinion.

Secondly, I think there are a group of people more in the center, and I think that they will accept it as well, provided a couple of conditions are met. If they're fed, and their bills are paid, and the kids can go out and play without an armed escort (I exaggerate to clarify), for the most part people will put up with some of "them" (whomever "them" happens to be) getting arrested/beaten/chased away provided they feel secure. While a lot of people talk tough, most folks are all about feeling safe and well-fed. I've mentioned this before, but I believe one of the truest things ever uttered was by Alexander Pope, "First comes fodder, then comes morality."

Thirdly are the never-Trump people, and they will continue to never-Trump regardless of the situation. Just take a look at the Arab votes in Michigan who voted for Stien so they wouldn't elect Harris, thereby making Mike Huckabee the new Ambassador. They really helped slow down the suffering in Gaza with their crommulent plans, huh? But they'll probably pat themselves on the back and blame Harris.

The only proviso I'd put on this is that a military force is a blunt weapon, and once used, things could spiral out of control quickly. If there was killing trouble, I think looking at what happened at Kent State might not be out of order. People will put up with the arrest of them, but I believe the majority of Americans would baulk at a massacre.

Really? Then Trump had poor judgment in hiring him. Thanks for pointing out that Trump has poor judgment. His new picks illustrate that.
No it's because Miley has an impressive background and seemed capable and dedicated.

The botched and incompetent pull out of Afghanistan under Biden runs counter to his former manner on how he commanded his forces.

I don't know what had happened to the general , but obviously the Biden administration had a lot to do with it.

It Aint Necessarily So

There is no logical reason I can think of why the resident should be choosing our military generals. If they were simply to ignore his meddling as unconstitutional over-reach, what could he do?
What could he do? He could shoot them in the face if he feels like it, and without resistance or repercussion. Who would stop him? Secret Service? He could shoot them next.

It'll take a while for most to assimilate what has just happened. The man now has unchecked power, unchecked by man or Trump's nonexistent conscience. He has the support of both houses of Congress and the Court has given him immunity in his official functions, which is whatever he says it is. Or maybe you'd like to challenge him on that.

Watch what becomes of people who stand up to him. Judge Mercham won't dare sentence Trump to prison now. His daughter would be dead by morning and he's likely end up in jail himself, which might happen anyway.

Watch what happens to people who have stood up to him in the past.

What do you suppose Trump wants now that he has unlimited power? Besides money, he wants glory, praise, and revenge. The details and timeline for how that manifests is uncertain, but his agenda and values are an open book. My personal concern is that he'll want to emulate his heroes Hitler and Putin and go after empire (maybe we didn't move far enough away), and possibly to harass expats by seizing bank accounts and threatening our citizenship status, although I don't know what the value of the latter would be except that we'd be stateless without it.

I expect our Social Security to disappear, because it's what the Republicans want, and the man is pure malevolence. We can weather that, but I'll bet most seniors can't, and over half of them are MAGA. Won't they be unpleasantly surprised. Medicare will suffer the same fate, but that doesn't affect us, as we have no access to our Medicare benefits while living abroad. Seniors living in the States including MAGA seniors will be hurt by that,

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see what's going to stop what I'm envisioning.
Vance even admitted it himself, but he also explained why. Looks like you missed that memo.
Apparently, he was once a better person, but Vance is an opportunist and a social parasite now. He says what's expedient. You shouldn't believe a person of such low character.
Vance realized just how he was summarily bamboozled by the left propagandist wing
It was 2016, and Vance was already a conservative - just not a MAGA conservative yet.

No, Vance saw a possible path to the White House if he sucked up to Trump, and it has paid off for him. He correctly judged the character and intelligence of the average American, who now prefers an angry criminal to be its president.

If you believed what you wrote, you should be concerned that he was so susceptible to propaganda. But you likely don't believe what your own words any more than I do. You likely know that he meant what he said, but don't care.

How would the loss of Medicare and Social Security affect your future? I think that you're still too young for either, but how will you get by in your retirement without them? Do you have a fat 401(k) or significant real estate equity or a large stock portfolio that will see you to the end without additional help? Can you afford medical care without help?

Presidents like FDR and Johnson took care of those problems for you, but Trump will do his best to make them problems for you again. The ironic part is that you helped him to do that for you. You're going to understand what others meant referring to voting against your own interests before your end comes unless it comes in less than a few years, but I'm sure that as a fervent conservative, a rugged individualist, and staunch enemy of Marxists, you'll agree that that's how it should be. You'd never have you hand out for a government handout, right?
More anti-Trumpers that couldn't understand how he won yet think they know what he will do. They don't.
Trump is an extremely simple man with just a few base urges and almost no information.

Like I said, just exactly what he does, in what order, and over how much time is uncertain, but it will all be in support of his fragile and recently wounded ego. He's got a score to settle now, and nobody can or will stop him.

How about you? You're already Medicare and Social Security age. Can you afford to lose those? You probably don't think that that could happen, but I ask you the same question: If that's what Trump and the Republicans want, who will stop them? Not you.
