They would have given him a parade, I am certain. Probably played 'Hail to the Chief' for his fragile ego.I suppose he could have attended the commemoration which is taking place at the National WW2 Museum in New Orleans. They have a two-day schedule of events. Louisiana would probably let him in.

This is unfair.Lots of prominent Americans , Putin and the elites from China to India are creative with business expenses (offshore and shell companies).Condemn the next President Trump by all means if you will. But for the right reasons. He will be the next President. He has the backers that will buy air and TV time.In a democracy Money dictates who wins.In places like Russia its simpler. They just shoot thier opponents.
Yeah, Trump likes the idea of killing political opponents. His lawyers have argued that he should have immunity for doing so. A citation might have been more pertinant than a silly picture.
So the OP title was just a bit of attention-seeking trash talk. What a great way to leverage D-Day.Donald Trump now banned from countries including Canada and UK as convicted felon
There are nearly 40 countries that bar felons from entering, even to visit.www.independent.co.uk
Does that mean Trump is angling for two arrest warrants?Putin wasn't invited either, and there is an arrest warrant out for him isn't there?
Trump can't travel to France because he is a criminal. Fact.So the OP title was just a bit of attention-seeking trash talk. What a great way to leverage D-Day.
Exceptions can and are made. Fact.Trump can't travel to France because he is a criminal. Fact.
Do you read this article? It makes Trump look B A D. He made lots of excuses to not attend scheduled events that other leaders did show up for on this trip you point to. It reads like Trump just used the trip as an expense paid vacation to France for a little hotel room R&R and a "pat myself on the back" opportunity.Never stopped him before looking back. Trump would if he could.

Maybe get real with Trump real reasons he can't go. France can always make exceptions.

Doh! I recant. France is not on the list.Really? See: Travel Restrictions for Convicted Felons
European UnionFrance & MonacoFrance & Monaco ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS: France is party to the Schengen agreement. As such, U.S. citizens may enter France for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa. A passport is required and should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay. Anyone intending to stay more than 90 days must obtain the appropriate visa issued by one of the French Consulates in the U.S., prior to departure for France. For further information about travel into and within Schengen countries, please see our fact sheet.
The only "Fact" I see is an apparent lack of due diligence, but do feel free to show me something that confirms your claim.
I was wrong in the OP. France does NOT prohibit felons from entry.
