Trump urges criminal acts - vote twice

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Right. Sort of like his 'joke' about injecting bleach?

Yes, he is a troll. But he was also not joking. He wants to get a reaction because that is all he has. He is focused on ratings and, as is noted, the only thing worse that being criticized is not being talked about at all.

Why *anyone* wants to feed this troll is beyond me. Why *anyone* wants a troll to be President is also beyond me. Trolls should be ignored and starved for oxygen.
Given the mentality and fragility of today's generation...

I'm inclined to agree that trolling is something that a number of individuals just cannot handle in stride.

Voting twice is against the law but Trump has urged people to do just that. And his consigliere , Barr, does not know if it's against the law or not. He's trying to steal the election just like dictators the world over rig elections so they can claim the people voted for them.

At this point I will not accept trump winning unless every vote not in person by a Republican is challenged and held up until actual in person voting records can be double checked.

Trump encourages supporters to vote twice, which is illegal

It doesn't matter.

I'll bet you a penny Trump won't be prosecuted for it and further, it won't affect the election.

Is that grounds for relieving the president of his duty to suggest such a thing. Impeachment?

Once again you took something out of context trying to make Trump look bad. However, if you wanted to be as honest as you expect Trump to be, you would have posted the entire message. Trump said to vote by mail early, then go to the polling place to make sure your vote had been received and logged. If not, then you could still have your vote count. This is not a bad idea for any one wanting to make sure their vote counts.

Are you sure? I would think at worst it could be ignorance if anything else if not a joke. Most would see it that way i hope. I'm sure if so, Trump would have been educated by his medical advisors now that bleach is best left for cleaning surfaces.
He stated it in a press conference, and he seemed serious, to me. Later, he claimed he was only kidding, but we all know sarcasm when we hear it, and it wasn't sarcasm. I think it was seriously ignorance, and he's too prideful to admit it. Honestly, he shouldn't be joking as the President of the US, about anything pandemic-related. So, shame on him for that.

It isn't a matter of handing them in stride. Trolls are abusive and disruptive for the sake of being abusive and disruptive. Except as comedy routines, they should be ignored. They certainly shouldn't be given power.

The joke is the left taking the comment seriously.
Jeez Louise, some need to loosen up a bit, but thats politics eh?

A bunch of stiff old wood planks gnawing on toothpicks.

Yea Trump was trolling, and apparently it worked well beyond expectations. It's called dry humor.

Why didn't ABC give us the link so we could see the quote in context?
I believe/feel/think that doesn't meet the definition of the word trolling.

Urban Dictionary: Trolling
Trolling - (verb), as it relates to internet, is the deliberate act, (by a Troll - noun or adjective), of making random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on various internet forums

I believe/feel/think that President Trump wasn't on a forum, and certainly wasn't unsolicited... he was probably invited, although I believe/feel/think it's hard to tell, without the source material which would allow us to see the quote in context.

The context is HERE:

"So let them send it in, and let them go vote. And if the system is as good as they say it is, then they obviously won’t be able to vote (at the poll)."
President suggests voters should attempt to cast ballot twice in interview with WECT’s Jon Evans

I believe/feel/think that no criminal act was encouraged; for how could it happen with a perfect system? Are they using ElectionGuard everywhere?

Probably not. People don't seem to care about actual policies or international standing.

Trump is a laughing stock. The current batch of Republicans in the Senate are complicit in this charade.

On second reading, I see that it's not really about voting
twice....It's about verifying that each gets one vote, &
ensuring that with possibly a 2nd attempt to replace a
failed first vote.

But accidents do happen....or are they?
