I prefer my world leaders intelligent, informed, and educated. When my left nut has more smarts and charisma than the POTUS, there's a serious problem.

Well we can be on the same page in hopes that someday we will have an intelligent , informed , and educated POTUS.

A bonus would be one that has the classic presidential mannerisms from days past.

Oh. Now this makes sense. But, could errors be made and a vote by the same person be “counted” twice?

If your vote doesn't arrive by the cut-off, in most states it's going straight into a dumpster. In the unlikely event that it would be counted twice because of some special exemption it wouldn't be the normal process and I doubt they would count it against you. You're not just voting in an anonymous ballot there is a voter ID number associated with each. They know you voted and how many times you've voted. They know at least your address, name, and particulars and so on. I don't see that this would become an endemic level problem, lol.

That's really nonsensical because if you watch him, he's quite emphatic. But either way, for him to even supposedly joke on such matters is highly unethical since some of his base may well do it and find themselves in the slammer with felony charges. It would be like if I made a joke about having a car bomb when I cross the border going into Canada.

Thus, the joke is really on those who think it was a joke because they've then bought into the next-day excuse.

Even I admit Trump needs to reign himself in in light of the position he holds.

Once again you took something out of context trying to make Trump look bad. However, if you wanted to be as honest as you expect Trump to be, you would have posted the entire message. Trump said to vote by mail early, then go to the polling place to make sure your vote had been received and logged.

Actually, his message was mixed. He said, at various times:

1. Vote by mail early, then go to the polling place to make sure your vote was received; if you can’t confirm your mail-in vote was received at the polling place, you should vote again.

2. Vote by mail early, then go to the polling place and try to vote again. Because, if your mail-in vote was counted, then someone will stop you from voting In person. Or if you do vote a second time, your second vote won’t be counted.

#2 would be both stupid, and a crime. I.e., classic Trump.

#1 Is just a less direct way to encourage #2 because even if your mail-in vote is counted, in many states, you won’t be able to confirm that at an in-person polling location.

To be really, really certain our votes count, Joe Biden supporters should go vote, then drive across town to another location, and check that your vote was counted.

If It wasn’t, go ahead and vote again.

If the Republican voter ID requirements work like they are supposed to, you won’t be able to vote twice. So go ahead and try to vote twice just to be absolutely certain your vote is counted.

In fact, you could repeat this at several polling locations on Election Day, just to be 100% positive one of your votes for Biden gets counted. Just keep driving around, pulling that lever until someone tells you that you already voted.

Obviously you don't understand the voting procedure. You can't simply "...drive across town..." and vote again (although I wouldn't put it past the Democrats to try) . Your name is on the ledger in the precinct you where you are registered. When you go to the polls you have to give your name which is checked against the register at that poll. Your name is never (or shouldn't be) on more than one register. If you have mailed your vote in, then your name is checked off as having voted which means your mail-in ballot has been received and logged. BTW, your post is a good argument for voter ID.

Great. The system works. I'm just saying all Biden voters should test that it works. If what you are saying is true, on Election Day we will go to a second polling location and if votes are being counted properly and the registers are working as you say, then we won't be able to vote twice. Plus the mail-in check Dr. Trump mentioned - I want Biden supporters to be *extra* certain at least one of their multiple votes are counted.

By the way: where I vote, you can vote at one of several polling locations. There isn't just one single location where you can pull the lever.

By analogy: let's just say I go into a bank, and take money that isn't mine. If the bank is working like it should, and that money really isn't from my account - then I won't be able to do that. If no one tells me it's not my money, then I should go ahead and try to take it, just to be sure. In the end, if it turns out it wasn't my money, the authorities will make it right somehow on the back end - and that's on them to figure out, not me.
