Anyone would think that they have a culture worth preserving.

If they have, what makes it so special compared to western culture?
You're just trying to derail this thread to turn it into one of your anti-immigration spiels, which is irrelevant to the topic. Buzz off.

Herr Donald the Emperor needs more lebensaum? Maybe he wants to build a palace to dwarf that shack in France that people are always going on about?

Or we could let the native Greenlandic people decide the future of their homeland and stop this colonialist ****. China and India's problems with overpopulation are their own fault and others shouldn't have to suffer for it.
It is not colonialism. It is a deal. Indians will come in peace and may bring prosperity. And we would come only if they permit, not as refugees. We are (generally) law-abiding people.

Actually I think this is a great idea. I'm all for it.

Denmark Offers to Buy U.S.

If Denmark’s bid for the United States is accepted, the Scandinavian nation has ambitious plans for its new acquisition. “We believe that by giving the U.S. an educational system and national health care, it could be transformed from a vast land mass into a great nation,” the spokesperson said.

Sure why not, but who would the payments go to? o_O
To the seller. Greenlanders could settle this or there could be separate payments to Greenlanders. When the world warms up, Greenland would be a nice place to stay. We could perhaps give USD 200 billion (that is half our foreign exchange reserve). Do you think that is a fair price?

Sounds like you're talking about population transfer. That's just colonialism under a different name. No. Indians stay in India and deal with their mess there. If some Indians wish to emigrate, that can be fine but bringing in large numbers of people to a fragile ecosystem with not many resources to go around? That's a recipe for disaster. Countries in the far north tend not to have large populations for a good reason.

President Donald J. Trump is reportedly interested in buying Greenland from Denmark. An offer from President Harry Truman to buy Greenland for $100 million in 1946 was then rejected by Denmark. However, now the Danish government is reportedly struggling to come up with over $600 million in annual subsidies that Denmark sends to Greenland. If Donald J. Trump were to purchase Greenland from Denmark, he'd probably have some good ideas on how to convert Greenland into valuable real estate as well as a hugely profitable venture for America. Greenland is the world's largest island, and if this territory were added to land size of the United States, this would increase the land area of the United States by 25 percent.

Trump couldn't find Greenland on a map and Denmark has turned him down flat.

Does Greenland have National Healthcare? If they do, then they would be better off not becoming part of the USA.

Here's the most important question:

Recent Tweet from Nate Silver: Would Greenland be a blue state or a red state?

Who cares about them. Even though they've lived there for thousands of years, they're not white, so we consider the land vacant.

That's what's making me angry about the OP and most of the replies in this extremely offensive thread. People are acting like it's empty land, ignoring the indigenous people.
