It's a fascinating thing watching his deranged mind unravel in real-time as the walls close in on him. He is completely cornered and powerless. He is repeatedly defeated in appellate courts everywhere and even the Supremes won't come to his rescue. This is a man who thrives on power and adulation, and whose worst is being thought of as a loser the way Marty McFly wet postal when called a chicken.

He appears to be completely clueless and disoriented regarding what is happening to him. Suddenly, he fears the J6 committee when they're wrapping up, when it's the DOJ and the states of New York and Georgia that he needs to fear. Here, we see how he feels threatened by a meaningless gesture by the J6 committee for possible indictment of Trump to the DOJ, which isn't waiting for and doesn't need a recommendation, and already has a special prosecutor lined up to prosecute him on at least three fronts (fomenting insurrection, espionage, and campaign finance fraud). "Trump seems to be really concerned about whatever criminal referrals the January 6th Committee might end up making to the Department of Justice. As we’ve explained, these referrals don’t carry any legal weight and are mainly about optics. But Trump is nonetheless panicked about them. Trump is instead demanding that the committee investigate the “election fraud” that’s supposedly been “determinatively revealed.”

How many people are laughing at that? This little man with the little hands is making empty demands like a tantruming child with a protruding, quivering, lower lip from anger.

Really? The guy is a hot mess dressing up for cosplay, and people everywhere are laughing at him. They are still laughing at his recent call to rescind the Constitution and his dinner with fellow insane bigots, and many more are enjoying how the Republicans have to live in fear of him because they don't have the spine to denounce him however harmful he is to the party. His only remaining superpowers are endorsing ridiculously unelectable candidates and primarying Republicans that won't kiss his ring. They fear the wrath of Don. The Seth Meyers', Jimmy Kimmels, and Stephen Colberts are having a field day with this guy.

He's got a permanent place in the dungeon of my mind, where he lives rent free shackled onto a wall from which he is suspended in a cold, damp room awaiting his ineluctable fate. I look forward to his every word now. Give the man a microphone. And more ketchup.
