Trumps trade policy could increase the price of beer.

Couldn't be worse than Bill Clintons "sin tax" if that's not the most hypocritical tax ever. Trump could make beer and smokes tax free and be president forever.

How Trump's trade policy could hit your bar tab - CNNPolitics.com

Will his supporters be able to continue overlooking his bungling if they're forced to choose between their brew and their smokes?

It's a CNN story, it almost doesn't warrant response. No offense to you, of course. Anyway, most non-crap beer comes in glass because aluminum does affect the flavor in most cases. We've tried years and years of globalist economics, and the result is lost jobs and dependency on foreign nations. I'm all for some protectionism when it comes to making sure that nations are competing fairly with our products.

Countries like China currently make items at less than cost, then get a rebate from the government (a subsidy) to make the profit. That's right, it is made at _less_ than cost... How do you "compete" with that? You can't, you have to tariff them until their prices are competitive with the local price. The globalists, regardless of political party, have always been perfectly fine with this arrangement because they have been taking bribe money from the foreign investors for awhile in the form of campaign contributions through various shell companies that they own who are stationed locally. In the case of China, most businesses are actually virtual extensions of the government - so, that explains who the enemy is... Why do I mention China? That's where most of the metal manufacturing resides at this juncture.
