I'm not sure. America has traditionally been anti-intellectual, shunned education amd with a preference for personal feelings over experts and data. It started even before the Founders and people thought Jefferson was too educated and philosophical to be president, it shown in the preference of isolationist policy, it manifested in policies like McCarthyism amd uncritical patriotism, became Creationism and the manufactured controversy of Evolution vs Creationism, it fueled Climate Change denial, keeps racist and other discriminatory policy alive, it has long nurtured religious fanaticism, and today we have someone considered God's personaly chosen politician who actively ferments lies about the election.
The way America goes Reagan might actually move up in position and FDR and Lincoln moving down in the future.
