LOL. That poor woman can't seem to do anything right. I thought that God was on her side, yet she is one continual blunder. That ought to be her middle name. Sarah "Blunder" Palin. LOL. Poor woman. It does seem that she does not have a good sense of what makes for good public relations.

But otoh, some people may see it as a indication that she's not "packaged." What you see is what you get.

What's the problem? She only pardoned one turkey. Did the turkey she pardoned get slaughtered anyway? If there's a large room filled with turkeys, and only one is pardoned, can we assume what's going to happen to the others?

That's quite obviously not the point. The point was that she was stupid enough to allow herself to interviewed in front of the slaughter on film (Good PR does, believe it or not, require a little taste, class and tact), even though it did make the whole pardon the turkey thing look even sillier.

You want to see the ONE turkey that gets pardoned..NOT have to see the other ones(its mother or brother) in the background that have been killed already...being ripped apart..or waiting in a crowded cage to die...

Its stupid...why even pardon the one? If you want to get real just film how turkeys get caged and slaughtered ....

Why dont we pardon one animal of each speicies every year..Say...like a lamb..in the background we can listen to the blood curdling cries of all the other lambs dying?

At least we can know one got to live...

Yeah good point... I do understand that she lives in a totally different environment from many people, so I guess she just doesn't comprehend why people might be a little "put off" to put it mildly by her being filmed with turkeys being slaughtered in the background. I do have to agree with an earlier post though about at least her supportors will know she isn't a packaged deal.
