TV game show "The Chase"

We Never Know

No Slack
I like the show and watch it when I can.
What I don't like is,,, in the final chase the chaser should be asked the same questions as the contestants. He/she could be put in a sound proof booth while the contestants are being asked.

My mum was a contestant on The Chase, and her and her teammate and were able to beat the Chaser in the final round.

Unfortunately, they never aired the episode because one of the questions asked pertained to a popular 70's/80's radio personality who - in the months before the show taping and TV release - became a subject of the Operation Yewtree investigation...

I usually watch, and some of the answers by the less knowledgeable contestants do often open one's eyes - as to the general lack of knowledge by so many or their inabilities to do simple arithmetic - although the pressure might account for some of this.

Really nice when they beat the Chaser by a fraction of a second too. :D

The Chase will forever be associated with this clip in my mind:

I got the answer to that right even though I didn't recognise her name at all - but then I often do come up with the right answer so often. Just some innate ability I suspect (or my age -***), apart from the odds often being good for such.

*** Given I did watch much ski racing on TV in earlier decades and might have just forgotten her name - until now.
